Gulshan Devaiah plans a quiet New Year with food and rest, gearing up for a Telugu film with Samantha.

There’s no packed itinerary or loud celebration on actor Gulshan Devaiah’s mind as the year comes to a close. Instead, he’s choosing something simple: good food, long naps, and addressing decisions he has been putting off.

Talking about his plans for New Year’s Eve and Day, he said, “I’m planning to spend some quiet time by myself – cooking a good meal, taking long naps, catching up on pending scripts, and finally addressing a few small decisions I’ve been putting off.”

Gulshan is gearing up for his first-ever Telugu project alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, titled Maa Inti Bangaram. He has previously expressed his excitement for this collaboration, stating, “I’ve always hoped to collaborate with Samantha, and this project arrived at just the right moment.”

He further added, “I’m deeply immersed in preparing for my role in MIB. I can’t reveal much about the film or my character yet, but it’s a demanding part and I’m doing everything I can to rise to the challenge, and hopefully not mess it up.”

Gulshan is known for his roles in films like Shaitan, Hate Story, and Hunterrr. He has also appeared in notable web series such as Afsos, Duranga, Dahaad, Guns & Gulaabs, and Bad Cop.

His latest project, “Perfect Family,” directed by Sachin Pathak, features an impressive cast including Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, Girija Oak, and Neha Dhupia. Released on November 27 on the Jar Series YouTube channel, the series is produced by Ajay Rai of Jhaar Pictures, with Mohit Chhabra and Pankaj Tripathi making their debut as producers. Varun Dhawan mourns the loss of his beloved dog Angel, shares memories and heartfelt note on Instagram.

Varun Dhawan has experienced the heartbreaking loss of his beloved pet, Angel. In his grief, he expressed gratitude for the joy Angel brought into their lives, as well as for being a wonderful sister to his other fur friend, Joey.

The ‘October’ actor also penned a heartfelt goodbye note, saying, “Rip angel. Today heaven gained another angel. Think you for being a wonderful pup and an amazing sister to Joey; we will miss you. See you down the road (sic).”

Reacting to this sad news, actress Mouni Roy commented, “I’m so terribly sorry.” Mrunal Thakur expressed shock with a simple “WHAT.”

Varun has always been open about his love for his pets. During a recent appearance on the celebrity chat show, “Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle,” alongside Alia Bhatt, he revealed that he holds the same affection for his dog and his daughter, Lara.

When Varun mentioned he would do anything for his pet Joey, host Twinkle Khanna playfully inquired, “What about Lara?” Varun replied candidly, “To be honest, and I am not just saying this because we are on camera to sound cool, I don’t differentiate between both of them. I can’t. It’s the first time I have had a puppy, so the bond I have with him is on another level. I don’t think I can have it with another living being.”

He further shared how Joey’s arrival has profoundly influenced him as a person. “I personally changed a lot when I got Joey, my dog, my puppy. When I got him, I changed,” he stated.

This prompted a puzzled Twinkle to ask, “One second, you didn’t change when you had a baby, but you changed for the puppy?” To this, Alia chimed in, clarifying, “Joey came first!”

  • Actress Saiee M Manjrekar Celebrates New Year in Matheran, Her Cherished Second Home

Actress Saiee M Manjrekar Celebrates New Year in Matheran, Her Cherished Second Home

Actress Saiee M Manjrekar is gearing up for a serene and meaningful New Year celebration as she prepares to return to Matheran, which she lovingly considers her second home.

For those unfamiliar, Matheran is a charming hill station near Mumbai, renowned for its pleasant climate and well-preserved colonial architecture. Notably, the location has banned motor vehicles, with many visitors opting for the scenic journey on the 1907 Neral–Matheran Toy Train.

Reflecting on her connection to Matheran, Saiee shared that this hill town has been a significant part of her life since childhood and has become increasingly personal to her over the years.

“This New Year, I find myself returning to Matheran with a few close friends, a place that has always felt like a second home. I’ve been coming here since childhood with my family and friends, and over time, it has quietly become a part of who I am,” she expressed.

With no cars and a slower pace of life, Matheran offers a unique charm.

Saiee fondly recalled the horse rides along misty trails, shaded forests, and serene viewpoints, describing these experiences as almost meditative.

“I still carry vivid memories of riding here with my parents and siblings, moments filled with laughter, togetherness, and a sense of freedom that only time and nature can provide. Horse riding through misty trails, shaded forests, and quiet viewpoints feels almost meditative, allowing memories to surface naturally.”

For Saiee, it’s the simple pleasures that define her time in Matheran. From enjoying vada pav at a long-time vendor to relishing gola on warm afternoons and Maggi at a local tapri, she values how these moments help her reconnect with her roots.

“After long rides, the simplest pleasures feel the most rewarding—vada pav from a vendor we’ve known for years, gola on warm afternoons, and Maggi at a small tapri. Away from five-star comforts, these moments reconnect me to my roots and remind me of how little one truly needs to feel content.”

Welcoming the New Year in Matheran, for Saiee, feels like a return to simplicity and authenticity, honoring the memories that continually shape her.

This film stars Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Vijayashanti, alongside Saiee Manjrekar, Sohail Khan, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Srikanth, and R. Sarathkumar. It serves as a spiritual sequel to the 1990 film Karthavyam, with Vijayashanti reprising her role as Kalyan Ram’s mother.
