  • Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi reflect on their impulsive marriage decision after 35 years.

Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi reflect on their impulsive marriage decision after 35 years.

After 35 years together, Bollywood couple Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi took a nostalgic trip down memory lane regarding their impulsive decision to elope and marry, during their new YouTube talk series, Pyaar Dosti Hai.

The visibly smitten couple reminisced about the spontaneous night when they decided to tie the knot before Parmeet’s family could raise any objections.

    Family Reactions

Parmeet opened up about the initial disapproval he faced from his family. He explained, “My family did not approve of you initially because you were older than me and an actress, which was considered taboo at the time. There was tension at home, especially with my parents.”

He recalled, “When marriage proposals started coming my way, I clearly said that I wanted to marry the person I loved and no one else.”

    The Proposal Moment

A significant moment came to mind for Parmeet as he shared, “That night, while standing on the terrace, I asked you if you wanted to start over with someone else. You said no, and I said the same. That’s when I asked if we should get married, and you said yes. I decided that if we truly wanted to do this, it had to be done immediately.”

    A Bollywood Moment

In a sequence reminiscent of a Bollywood film, Parmeet recounted their journey: “We got into the car and first went to a temple near Amitabh Bachchan’s old house, but there was no priest there. Then I suggested an Arya Samaj temple. We went there, spoke to the priest, and said we wanted to get married, right then.”

The couple ultimately tied the knot the following morning on Archana’s terrace.

    Reflections on Their Journey

Reflecting on their decision, Archana noted, “In many ways, the main reason we got married the way we did was because of the disapproval from your parents. Had that not been the case, we might have taken more time. But once we were sure about each other, we knew we didn’t want to wait any longer.”

For those unaware, Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi tied the knot in 1992 after dating for nearly eight years. Archana is seven years older than Parmeet, and the couple has two sons, Ayushmaan Sethi and Aaryamann Sethi.

  • Charlie Puth Quits Alcohol After Bad Hangover During NYC Party Before His Album Release

Charlie Puth Quits Alcohol After Bad Hangover During NYC Party Before His Album Release

Singer-songwriter Charlie Puth has decided to quit alcohol after experiencing an intense hangover. The ‘See You Again’ hitmaker shared how this choice came after a wild night of partying in New York, just before the release of his 2022 album ‘Charlie’.

In a conversation with ‘Rolling Stone’, Charlie recounted, “I was in New York, I was staying at the Greenwich, and I don’t drink at all. I think it clouds my judgment. But it was right before the third album was about to come out, and I was like, ‘I’m just gonna have a rager’. And I woke up with the worst hangover I’ve ever felt in my life. It lasted for, I think, two days. And I saw pictures of myself with people I didn’t even know. And I remember they all wanted to get coffee the next morning, in a scene-y part of town. I saw them all eating, and then I just turned the other way and walked back to the hotel and just stayed there by myself for a couple of days.”

He further explained, “It’s hard to describe, but after years of surrounding myself with the wrong things and saying the wrong things, it’s profound when it all just comes to a screeching halt one day at 30 years old in New York City.”

According to reports, Charlie is set to release his new album ‘Whatever’s Clever’ in March. He shared that the track ‘I Used to Be Cringe’ stems from his early years in the music industry, reflecting on his regrets over “inauthenticity.”

The 34-year-old singer, whose wife Brooke Sansone is pregnant with their first child, reminisced, “I would talk differently in 2016. I would go to a radio show and tell myself, ‘You’re gonna put on a cool-guy accent because you have a big song out right now’. It was just so much inauthenticity. I thought I had to be a certain way to be popular. And again, it’s part of, I think, a young man growing up and not knowing himself and being very influenced by those around him.”

  • A$AP Rocky Shares Joys of Fatherhood, Says Being a Dad Makes Him “Cooler” and More Relaxed

A$AP Rocky Shares Joys of Fatherhood, Says Being a Dad Makes Him “Cooler” and More Relaxed

Rapper A$AP Rocky has a lot of positive insights about fatherhood, claiming that being a dad has made him “cooler.”

At 37 years old, the rapper, who shares sons RZA, three, and Riot, two, along with daughter Rocki, four months, with partner Rihanna, mentioned that neither he nor the Diamonds hitmaker are particularly strict parents. He feels that his role as a dad has not affected his credibility.

When asked about who is the “loose” and “strict” parent during his appearance on The New York Times Popcast, he stated, “None of us have to be. We are cool-ass parents. I always said to myself, like, ‘Yo, if I ever become a dad, like, I’mma be the coolest dad.’ And I think that’s, being a dad made me cooler. My swag is up, bro.”

Though Rocky is vegetarian, he allows his kids to be “carnivores,” saying, “They eat whatever they want. I got to let them be themselves.”

Since the birth of his daughter, he expressed that baby Rocki has “taken over the whole household.” He said, “Baby Rocki man, she’s something, you know she’s four months. She’s four months on the 13th. And she looks exactly identical to me. My twin, bro.”

Reflecting on life with his two sons, Rocky recalled it being “lit” and joked about them having their own “He-Man Women Haters Club.” He shared, “Like, here we go. I’m with the little rascals, man. And then baby Rocki came in, and just kind of took over the whole household. She is very talkative at four months [and] likes to giggle and smile.”

Rocky is intrigued by the contrasting personalities of his two sons. He noted, “You know, my first son, RZA, he’s just really like, he’s the opposite of his brother, the three-year-old and the two-year-old. They’re about 14 months apart. So, they’re really close, but he’s really antisocial. And my second son is just a socialite at this point, you know? He wants to steal the room when he walks in, and he’s addicted to cotton candy, and… he likes… typical little kid stuff. My first son never ate candy a day in his life and hates it.”

As his sons grow older, Rocky looks forward to being the kind of dad who shows them “how to throw footballs and slapbox each other without hurting each other.”

  • Ram Gopal Varma calls AR Rahman “the nicest human” after credit theft claims over Jai Ho.

Ram Gopal Varma calls AR Rahman “the nicest human” after credit theft claims over Jai Ho.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma recently accused music composer AR Rahman of taking Sukhwinder Singh’s credit for the song “Jai Ho.” However, he has now referred to the music maestro as the “nicest human being.”

    Clarification on the Misquote

In light of the ongoing debate, Varma took to X to express that he had been misquoted during an interview. He clarified, “To all concerned… I am being misquoted and misread out of context in the matter of the Jai Ho song… in my view. @arrahman is the greatest composer and the nicest human being I ever met, and he’s the last person to take away anybody’s credit… I hope this puts an end to the negativism surrounding the issue.”

    Rahman’s Recent Remarks

AR Rahman has been in the headlines after he stated that his work in the Hindi film industry has diminished over the past eight years due to a “power shift” and “communal” politics within the entertainment sector.

    Viral Interview Resurfaces

In a resurfaced interview that went viral, Varma claimed that AR Rahman was not the original composer behind the Oscar-winning song “Jai Ho” from “Slumdog Millionaire.” He stated that the song had originally been composed by singer Sukhwinder Singh.

In the interview clip, Varma recounted an incident related to the film “Yuvraj,” starring Salman Khan, during which he alleged that Rahman had sourced the tune from Sukhwinder Singh in a studio session and later sold the song, which eventually became “Jai Ho.” Varma further alleged that Sukhwinder was paid Rs. 5 lakh as compensation through Rahman’s management.

    Rahman’s Response on the Controversy

Regarding the controversy linked to his “communal” remarks, Rahman shared a video message on social media, clarifying that he never intended to hurt anyone’s sentiments and expressed regret if his words had caused anyone pain.
