The UPSC’s commitment to inclusive representation is evident in the demographic breakdown of selected candidates:

• 335 candidates from General category
• 109 from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
• 318 from Other Backward Classes (OBC)
• 160 from Scheduled Castes (SC)
• 87 from Scheduled Tribes (ST)

Notably, 45 candidates with benchmark disabilities have also been selected across four categories, highlighting the commission’s emphasis on creating an inclusive administrative framework.

Service Allocation: Filling Critical Positions

The government has reported 1129 vacancies to be filled through this recruitment cycle, distributed across various services:

• Indian Administrative Service (IAS): 180 vacancies
• Indian Foreign Service (IFS): 55 vacancies
• Indian Police Service (IPS): 147 vacancies
• Central Services Group ‘A’: 605 vacancies
• Group ‘B’ Services: 142 vacancies

This includes 50 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) across different categories.

What’s Next for the Selected Candidates?

The successful candidates will soon embark on their journey as civil servants, with training at prestigious institutions like the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration for IAS officers and the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy for IPS officers.

The UPSC has also maintained a consolidated reserve list of 230 candidates in accordance with the Civil Services Examination Rules 2024, ensuring that additional vacancies can be filled if they arise.

Accessing Results and Support

Candidates can check their results on the official UPSC website. The commission has established a Facilitation Counter near its examination hall for clarifications, operational on working days from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Individual marks will be made available on the official website within 15 days from the result declaration.

The UPSC has noted that the candidature of 241 recommended candidates remains provisional, while the result of one candidate has been withheld.
