Vishal Celebrates Sundar C’s Birthday, Unveils Film Title ‘Purushan’ with Tamannaah Bhatia as Lead

Wishing Sundar C, the director of his upcoming film, a happy birthday, actor Vishal announced that their collaboration is titled ‘Purushan’.

Taking to his X timeline, Vishal shared a link to a promo of the film, writing, “…wishing my darling brother a very, very happy entertaining and fun-filled birthday.”

The actor expressed his admiration for Sundar C, referring to him as his favourite director. He added, “…I am super happy to kickstart my next film #Vishal36 titled as #Purushan with him for the 4th time after the grand success of #MadhaGajaRaja!”

Vishal also shared his excitement about working again with Tamannaah Bhatia, who plays the female lead in the film. He mentioned, “Produced by Dhiya ACS, and joining hands once again with my darling @tamannaahspeaks for the third time, feels great to team up after so long! It’s going to be a super fun ride with loads to offer from the evergreen mass moviemaker, backed by a stellar star cast including #YogiBabu and a powerful technical team, #DOP: Gopi Amarnaath, #Music: Hiphop Tamizha & many others. Can’t wait to share more updates soon!”

The title promo reveals Vishal as Tamannaah’s husband, who seems to be a gentle and submissive partner. In the promo, she is seen watching a television serial while he mops the floor. Yogi Babu, who plays their neighbour and is a television actor, enters with clothes that Tamannaah has hung out to dry. He informs them that it is about to rain, and he brought the clothes inside.

Tamannaah thanks Yogi Babu and sings his praises to her husband, subtly putting him down. She eventually asks Vishal to make some tea for Yogi Babu. While he prepares the tea, he senses intruders entering their home, leading to an intense fight in the kitchen, even as he continues his task. Yogi Babu, entering to get a glass of water, witnesses Vishal fighting off the assailants, unaware of his husband’s capabilities.

The film features music by Hip Hop Tamizha, cinematography by Gopi Amarnath, and editing by Roger. It is being produced by A C S Arun Kumar.
