In favor of a fair business of nuts and as a way of living a healthier life, in 2016 Liberation Foods Company has turned 22nd Oct into National Nuts Day! These are not the only ones. In addition to celebrating the long and tumultuous history of almonds, they also thought of dispelling some harmful myths surrounding almonds.

There are different types of nuts including oak, hickory, chestnut, stone-oak, birch, and hazelnut. Peanuts, coconuts, almonds, macadamia nuts, pesto, pecans, walnuts, and cashews are not actually nuts, but they are all considered nuts in the culinary sense.

Almonds are high in fat, low in carbs, and a great source of several nutrients, including vitamin E, magnesium, and selenium. They contain antioxidants known as polyphenols that can protect cells and LDL cholesterol from damage.
