  • Nawazuddin Siddiqui reflects on reprising his role in “Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders” journey.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui reflects on reprising his role in “Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders” journey.

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has shared insights about reprising his role in “Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders.”

    A Journey of Growth

In an exclusive statement, he described the experience as a transformative journey. Nawazuddin mentioned that returning to the role after several years required him to reflect on his own personal evolution as well as the character’s development. He said, “Jatil isn’t the same man anymore. Life changes you. Time changes you. Cases change you. But the one thing that hasn’t changed is his relationship with the truth.”

    Commitment to Truth

He emphasized that Jatil approaches each case with the same objectivity and instinct he’s known for. “No matter how much pressure he faces, or who stands in his way, he doesn’t walk away from the truth,” he stated.

    Internal Depth

Discussing the demands of his role this time, Nawazuddin expressed, “Jatil is not a man who shows you what he’s feeling. Everything is beneath the surface. To play someone like that, you have to sit quietly. You have to let the silences work especially when you are a small town cop, standing in the face of authority. As is all too familiar in our country.”

    Personal Challenges

The ‘Haddi’ actor further elaborated that the process was both challenging and personal. “He still carries his past. He still struggles with it. And that becomes part of how he sees this new case. As an actor, reprising the same role after such a long period requires you to dig deep and remind yourself of the person that you were and how both you and the character have evolved,” he noted.

    Working with Honey Trehan

On collaborating with director Honey Trehan again, Nawazuddin remarked, “Honey understands the world of this film in a very sensitive way. His direction is subtle but very precise. There’s a discipline in the way he builds tension, with silence, with pauses, with what’s not being said.”

    Film Details

“Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders” premiered at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) last month and had its global release on Netflix on December 19.

Kaun Banega Crorepati: Contestant Reveals Marriage Wait for Hot Seat, Surprising Amitabh Bachchan!

Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, has once again created a buzz. Contestant Mitkumar Thakrar shared an unexpected revelation: he chose not to get married because of KBC, which left both the audience and Big B astonished.

    Mitkumar’s Wait for KBC

Thakrar explained his unique reasoning, stating, “I have been waiting and trying to come to KBC as a contestant for 25 years.” He further elaborated, “I had received a marriage proposal 25 years ago, but I told her that first I would want to sit on the hot seat of KBC, then I will sit on the horse as a groom.” Amitabh, amused, playfully inquired about the status of the marriage proposal, suggesting that she might still be waiting. Thakrar cheekily responded, “Sir, unki toh shaddi hogayi kabki” (Sir, she got married long ago), prompting laughter from Amitabh and the audience.

    The Enduring Magic of KBC

KBC has captivated viewers ever since its inception in 2000, maintaining its special place in Indian television. Recently, actress Ananya Panday appeared on the show to promote her upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, alongside Kartik Aaryan. She shared how her family has been deeply attached to KBC over the last 25 years.

Ananya mentioned, “When my grandparents come from Delhi, we have a special ritual at home that from Monday to Friday, we sit with them and watch KBC. The whole family sits together and watches the show.” Amitabh chimed in, “and when they leave?” To which Ananya replied, “No, I watch it.”

Continuing her conversation with Big B, she expressed her very personal connection to the show: “I think it wasn’t just my dream; it was the collective dream of the Panday family that at least one person should go to Kaun Banega Crorepati, and luckily, I was the first, and I made it.”

    Upcoming Film Expectations

As for her film Tu Meri Main Tera, it is set for a Christmas release on December 25.

Feeling uneasy prior to this incident, Bharti said, “In the morning, I was shocked. I was shivering. My clothes are wet, my bedsheet is wet, and we are heading to the hospital. I don’t know what will happen next — me or Haarsh. Please pray that everything is fine.”

Harssh was seen quickly taking her to the hospital in the early morning hours. For context, Bharti and Harssh are also parents to a three-year-old son, Gola, aka Lakshya.
