Veteran actress Bhagyashree recently shared her delightful experiences from her street food adventure in Banaras on social media.
A Taste of Banaras
In her post, she showcased the iconic flavors of the city, emphasizing that no visit to Banaras is complete without tasting malaiyo, which she described as a must-try delicacy. Bhagyashree also recounted her enjoyment of tandoori chai served in a traditional kulhad and the joy of savoring chaat in the bustling narrow lanes. Alongside her husband, Himalaya Dasani, she beautifully captured the essence of Banaras’ street food culture.
Expressing her love for the city’s popular street food, she wrote on Instagram, “Benaras streetfood! Malaiyo nahi khaya toh kya khaya! Tandoori chai kullad mein Aur chaat ka maaza galliyon mein. Earlier, Bhagyashree had also shared snippets of her mornings in Banaras. She posted videos of herself on a boat sailing along the river, introducing the oarsman who made her boat ride at Dashashwamedh Ghat a memorable one. She described the unique calm and peace she experienced, likening it to the flowing Ganga.
Reflecting on her morning, she wrote, “Subah Benaras! Kuch alag hain yahan, Sukoon aur shanti. Sab nadiyo mein jaise, Ganga ka paani. Khokar yahan paana aapne aap ko Kevat Ganga paar lagaye aapko. Mornings at Benaras are different each day. Today was cloudy, could not witness the first rays of the sun. However, the experience was sublime.”
