Trusting the Journey
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Ranveer—known for his infectious energy—opened up about trusting the process and waiting for the right moment after experiencing a lull following the release of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in 2023. He wrote, “Kismat ki ek bohut khoobsurat aadat hai, ki woh waqt aane par badalti hai… Lekin filhal…Nazar aur sabr,” expressing his thoughts on destiny, perseverance, and patience.

“Dhurandhar” has made history at the box office during its second weekend, grossing over Rs 100 crore in just two days. As of now, the film has amassed a total of Rs 351 crore, according to reports.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, “Dhurandhar” features a star-studded cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Manav Gohil, Danish Pandor, Saumya Tandon, Gaurav Gera, and Naveen Kaushik.
The film is the first installment of a two-part series, showcasing an Indian intelligence mission that unfolds over ten years. An undercover agent infiltrates Karachi’s criminal and political landscape to dismantle lethal cross-border terror networks.
Inspiration and Context
“Dhurandhar” draws inspiration from real-life events, including geopolitical tensions, the 1999 Indian plane hijack, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and covert operations conducted by India’s R&AW linked to Operation Lyari, as well as the crackdown on criminal syndicates.
The film is gaining momentum at the box office and is on track to become the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, as well as the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of the same year. The sequel, “Dhurandhar: Part 2 – Revenge,” is set to release in 2026.
