The shooting of director Krishnakumar Ramakumar’s upcoming film ‘G.D.N.’, featuring actor Madhavan as renowned Indian scientist G D Naidu, has officially wrapped up, as announced by the makers.
Producer Vijay Moolan, whose production house is behind this eagerly anticipated project, took to Instagram to share the news. He posted pictures from the wrap-up party held in Dubai, captioning, “And .. it’s a wrap for #GDN. WrapUpParty!”
Interestingly, just last week, Madhavan expressed his heartfelt birthday wishes for producer Vijay Moolan, highlighting the trust Moolan has in his abilities. On social media, Madhavan shared a photo of himself with Moolan, writing, “Wish you the HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY EVERRRR, my dear brother. I’ve always been so grateful to have you in my life, but with every passing year, your importance and influence have been greater than ever. I have seldom met anybody who has so much trust in my abilities … you see in me more than I can see in myself and I’m so grateful. God bless you, and I pray that our closeness and adventurous journey continues forever. Love you, my man.”
For those who may not know, ‘G.D.N.’ is the highly awaited biopic of the esteemed scientist and industrial pioneer Gopalaswamy Doraiswamy Naidu, more commonly recognized as G D Naidu.
Earlier in November, Madhavan was engaged in filming the last schedule of the movie abroad. In October, the team unveiled the first look teaser. This clip showcased Madhavan transformed into Gopalaswamy Doraiswamy Naidu, depicted hard at work in his workshop. Initially, his face was hidden behind a welding shield, but he later revealed his aged, bold persona complete with spectacles, embodying the ‘Edison of India’.
While sharing the first look teaser on a photo-sharing platform, Madhavan wrote, “The spirit of G.D.NAIDU is now officially unveiled. A story of unmatched vision, towering ambition, and unwavering resolve. We proudly present the First Look Teaser of G.D.N.”
‘G.D.N.’ narrates the life of Gopalaswamy Doraiswamy Naidu, a self-taught engineer, inventor, and industrialist from Coimbatore. He is credited with revolutionizing Indian industry through the development of the country’s first indigenous electric motor. His other notable inventions include petrol engines, ticket machines, and agricultural equipment.
Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, ‘G.D.N.’ is produced by Varghese Moolan Pictures in collaboration with Tricolour Films. The core cast includes Priyamani, Jayaram, and Yogi Babu in significant roles, alongside others.
