Riyaa Senn and her mom Moon Moon share a sweet moment at a cozy Dehradun cafe

Actress Riya Sen and her mother, Moon Moon Sen, were recently spotted enjoying the charming ambiance of Dehradun’s quaint cafés, where time seems to slow down and every corner has its own tale.

Riya shared two photos on Instagram, showing her and her mother savoring hot soup. She captioned the images, “Dehradun is endlessly charming! Its cute little cafés feel like stepping back in time. Wandering through them has become my mom’s favourite way to spend her time there.”

Moon Moon has an extensive career in the film industry, having worked in Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Gujarati films. She has appeared in over 60 films and 40 television series. The 71-year-old veteran actress was also a Member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha for the Bankura constituency from 2014 to 2019.

Making her debut in the film Andar Baahar in 1984, Moon Moon is best remembered for her role in the suspense thriller 100 Days alongside Madhuri Dixit. Her most recent appearance was a guest role in the 2019 Bengali film Bhobishyoter Bhoot.

On the other hand, Riya began her acting journey at the young age of five, portraying her mother’s daughter on screen for the first time. She made her debut as a child actress in the film Vishkanya in 1991. Riya gained commercial success with the 2001 comedy Style, directed by N. Chandra. She first shot into the limelight as a model after featuring in Falguni Pathak’s music video Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi at seventeen in 1998.

Most recently, Riya was seen in a cameo role in the teen romantic comedy film Nadaaniyan, directed by Shauna Gautam. The film stars Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, alongside Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. It narrates the story of a privileged South Delhi school girl who hires a boyfriend to get back at her family and classmates.
