After the exit of Kokila Ben, Gopi Bahu is also leaving “Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2”

After the much viral video of “rasode me kaun tha” ( who was in the kitchen) featuring Kokila Ben and Gopu Bahu, the duo had been trending for a long time and to the surprise of Saath Nibhaana Sathiya fans, the show makers released another season for the show. The second installment also starred Kokila Ben, Gopi Bahu and Ahem apart from other characters.

But in a recent development,  Rupal Patel, who plays Kokila Ben, quit the show. She told in an interview that she was contacted for the show for a duration of a month only and now since the requirement is complete, she will have to leave. She added that she has always played such strong roles and  is looking forward to come back to the television screen . Soon after, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who plays Gopi Bahu, also left the show. Moreover, Mohammad Nazim , who plays the elder son of Kokila (Ahem ji) , is also leaving the show. Though the reasons of these two characters leaving the show is not out yet, but reportedly the characters of Ahem and Gopi also had a one month requirement. So it is speculated that these two characters will be killed off in an accident and that is the closure the iconic characters would get in the show.

Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 has been received fondly by the audiences who were eagerly waiting for their Gopi Bahu and Kokila Ben. The internet helped the show makers by attracting attention and viewers through the viral mashup. Owing to it’s huge popularity, the scene was repeated in the second season also wherein Kokila asks Gehna, “Rasode me kaun tha?” . It must be saddening for their fans to see the actors leave the show.
