Let your stress flow away | Happy International stress awareness Day
Every year the first Wednesday of November is celebrated as International Stress Awareness Day. This year it falls on 4th Nove, 2020. Today. This annual campaign or observation is initiated by the ISMA(International Stress Management Association) with a wonderful motive. Its basic aim is to aware people of stress information and spread strategies to alleviate stress.
Emotional or physical arousal is a feeling of stress. It can come from any event or thought that makes us feel frustrated, angry or nervous. This is why we face stress problems very easily on a daily basis. Stress is the body’s response to a challenge or demand. In short bursts, stress can be as positive as it is when it helps you avoid danger or meet a deadline. But when stress lasts a long time, it can damage our health.
Give these stress awareness days a chance to think about the causes of stresses of daily life and ways to reduce their impact on physical and mental health. Although life cannot be completely stress-free because it is a natural physiological response, it is quite possible to deal with and prevent stress.
Here’s some ways to reduce daily stress factors:
- Exercise is one of the most important things one can do to impede stress. It lowers your body’s stress hormones such as cortisol, also helping to release endorphins, chemicals that improve mood and act as natural painkillers. It can also improve sleep habits and exceed confidence levels. Exercise is a brilliant way to turn mental wellbeing.
- Add Caffeine to the diet chart. Studies found it helpful in moderation. But high intake of caffeine can also increase stress and anxiety. However, people’s sensitivity to caffeine can vary greatly.
- Another impactful way is to spend time with family members or loved ones. Strong social relationships can help you cut down on stress and reduce your risk of anxiety. Studies show that these factors are more effective for women.
- Join a laughter class. It’s hard to feel anxious when you’re laughing. It is good for our health and they help relieve our stress response. Also help relax our muscles and relieve tension So, it’s a great way to be part of the humor of everyday life, spend time with fun friends or watch a comedy show to relieve stress.
- Yoga is widely used for stress reduction. It helps to reduce stress hormone levels and blood pressure. The benefits of yoga for stress and anxiety seem to be related to its effects on your nervous system and stress response. It can help lower cortisol levels, blood pressure and heart rate, and increase gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that reduces mood disorders.
Happy stress-free day in forwarding day. Stay safe and continue to spend life with a bright smile. This year’s theme for Stress Awareness Month 2020 is ‘The 30 Day Challenge’ where one can encourage others to take action for Physical, Mental and Emotional Well-being to carry out every day.
