Bollywood’s Dream Girl, Hema Malini has created a special place in the hearts of people with her acting. Her work was always appreciated. Hema was successful in her political career ranging from films. Today she is celebrating her 72nd birthday with the family. Hema malini made acting debut in Tamil film “Ithu Sathiyam” in 1963, But her first lead role was in Sapno Ka Saudagar (1968) in which Raj Kapoor was the lead hero. The producer of the film was Anant Swamy. It is said that the makers wanted to make a buzz for the film and for this he was looking for a one liner.
After much thought, Anant Swami got the idea and wrote Raj Kapoor’s Dream Girl under Hema’s photo. He felt that perhaps this would increase the interest of the audience about the film.

For the film Sapno Ka Saudagar, it was like a stunt, which did not work much. The film did average business at the box office. But Hema Malini’s work in the film was well received. After the release of the film, the media and Fans started calling Hema as ‘Dream Girl‘, Because Hema Malini was initially promoted as the ‘Dream Girl’, and in 1977 starred in a film of the same name Dream Girl, in which she worked with Dharmendra. The film was directed by Pramod Chakraborty. The title track of this film Dream Girl was quite popular
In most of her films, she starred opposite her husband, Dharmendra and also with Rajesh Khanna and Dev Anand.


Hema Malini was so beautiful in her time that anyone who saw her would give her heart. Her name was associated with many Bollywood actors. Eventually Hema made Dharmendra her life partner. They married on May 2, 1980. They have two daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
