WHY BHAI DOOJ IS CELEBRATED..?
There is a story behind the importance of Bhai Dooj in Hindu. Yamraj used to love his sister Yamuna more than his life. But he wasn’t able to meet her due to excess workload. So one day, he plans to meet her sister Yamuna after such a long time. She made a lot of sweet dishes for her brother. Looking at Yamuna’s hospitality, Yamraj presents her with many gifts. He also promises her to come back again. He asks for any promise from the Yamuna. She takes an oath from Yamraj that every year on this day he will come to meet her and accept her hospitality. Thus on this day every year, Bhai Dooj is celebrated on the second date of the Shukla party of the Kartik month.

VIDHI FOR BHAI DOOJ PUJA
On this day of Bhai, Dooj Sisters prepare the square from rice flour. Sit on this square and start worshiping Brother Dooj. Put rice on the palm of a brother. After this, give the brother a tilak and give flowers, paan, money, etc. to brother. After finishing the aarti, soften the brother’s face.
