  • Shiva Rajkumar on Requesting Rajinikanth for Kannada Film: Only for a Worthy Role, Not Just Because of ‘Jailer’

Shiva Rajkumar on Requesting Rajinikanth for Kannada Film: Only for a Worthy Role, Not Just Because of ‘Jailer’

Explaining his thoughts on collaborating with Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth, Kannada Superstar Dr. Shivarajkumar emphasized that he would definitely reach out to Rajinikanth for a worthy role in a Kannada film. However, he clarified that he won’t exploit Rajinikanth’s recent role in the Tamil film ‘Jailer’ for personal gain.

During a media interaction to promote his upcoming Kannada film ’45’, Shivarajkumar was asked whether he would invite Rajinikanth to act in a Kannada project, given that the unit of ‘Jailer’ had made a similar request.

In response, he said, “It cannot be done just like that when one thinks. It (the project) has to shape up really well. When he comes, it must be something very different. That is what I wish for. I shouldn’t simply take advantage of him. Just because I came here and did a role in ‘Jailer’, I shouldn’t call sir. I am seeing him from the time I was a child. I should not take advantage. If there is a worthy role, I will definitely request Rajini sir.”

Produced by Uma Ramesh Reddy and M Ramesh Reddy, with dialogues by Anil Kumar, ’45’ is directed by Arjun Janya. The film is set to release on December 25, marking Janya’s directorial debut.

Alongside Dr. Shiva Rajkumar, the film features actors Raj B. Shetty and Upendra in significant roles, heightening expectations among fans and film enthusiasts.

In an interview, director Arjun Janya shared that the title ’45’ refers to the timeframe in which the story unfolds, inspired by personal experiences. He noted, “I narrated this script to Shivanna, who asked me to direct this film myself. He is my second inspiration.”

When asked about the film’s genre, Janya mentioned it would be tough to categorize it into one. He encouraged the audience’s interpretation, with Raj B. Shetty adding, “There are three elements that come in this story. One is the realistic story of a commoner. This meets the cinematic moment of another character and it ends in a fantasy. But the travel is not jarring and it travels seamlessly.”

The film features cinematography by Satya Hegde and editing by K. M. Prakash. Stunt choreography is handled by Dr. K. Ravivarma, Jolly Bastian, Different Dany, and Chetan D’souza, while dance choreography is by Chinni Prakash and B. Dhananjay.

  • Lily Allen’s Daughters Stay in Touch with David Harbour, She Remains Distant from Their Bond

Lily Allen’s Daughters Stay in Touch with David Harbour, She Remains Distant from Their Bond

Actress-singer Lily Allen’s daughters remain in contact with “Stranger Things” star David Harbour, but she chooses to “stay out of” their relationship.

The 40-year-old singer and Harbour parted ways around a year ago. Despite this, she hasn’t interfered in the bond he shares with her children, Ethel, 14, and 12-year-old Marnie, from her first marriage to Sam Cooper. Allen mentioned in an interview with The Observer: “I stay out of it. They’ve both got phones. They all text each other.”

In her new album, West End Girl, Allen alludes to Harbour’s infidelity during their relationship. Reflecting on her second marriage, she acknowledges that these experiences have given her deeper insight into the “pain” that Cooper might have felt.

She commented: “(I’ve learned there are no) baddies and goodies in a marriage, but having done things that were not very nice in my first marriage, I have a better idea now of the pain I may have inflicted. I’ve learned how horrible it is to be on the receiving end of that.”

Despite her previous short-lived unions, Allen is not completely dismissing the idea of marriage again. She stated: “I’d like to say I’d never do it again, but I do like it. Everything but the institution of it, you know? I like being chosen. I like jewellery. I like getting dressed up. I like celebrating. I don’t like talking about money. I like my independence. But I don’t like divorce.”

Allen has found the process of getting divorced to be “devastating,” leading to difficulties in trusting others. She expressed: “It’s just sort of devastating, really. It keeps you up at night and costs a huge amount of money and just goes on and on and on. And I hate feeling like I can’t trust anyone. But there’s something about dealing with an ex-partner and lawyers that creates an environment of feeling like you can’t trust anybody or anything.”

Over the years since her rise to fame, she feels she has transformed into a “different person.” Allen remarked: “We’re all massive walking contradictions, right? That’s what makes us human beings. You can think one thing one day, and then you grow, and you think something else – that’s life. I’m a different person than I was 20 years ago because I’ve lived 20 years of my life and I’ve had two children and two marriages and I’ve learned a lot.”

He explained, “Shooting at NDA Khadakwasla wasn’t just about capturing authentic visuals – it changed how I approached the entire role. You’re training where real officers train.
