Actress Chitrangda Singh has revealed her plan for welcoming the New Year in a simple and discreet manner, away from the chaos of city life.

Family Time at New Year

Speaking about her plans, Chitrangda expressed her intention to take a break from work to dedicate quality time to her family.

“New Year plans are just very, very simple. It’s just going to be, take some time off and be with the family, spend time… one week completely with each other,” she shared.

The actress aims to disconnect from her usual routine and focus on togetherness without any grand celebrations.

“And we’re probably going to be out of the city on a farm. So yeah, just do regular stuff, farm stuff, farm life. That’s what it’s going to be,” Chitrangda concluded.

Chitrangda was last seen in “Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders,” a crime thriller directed by Honey Trehan, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. The film serves as a sequel to 2020’s “Raat Akeli Hai.”

The sequel unfolds years after the first case, introducing Inspector Jatil Yadav, who returns as a more experienced yet morally steadfast officer. When members of the influential Bansal family become involved in a new suspicious death, Jatil is called back for another investigation.

What seems like an open-and-shut case quickly spirals into complexity. The Bansals, now wealthier and more powerful, excel at concealing their secrets. Every family member presents a polished version of events while safeguarding their own interests.

Looking ahead, Chitrangda is set to appear in “Battle Of Galwan” alongside superstar Salman Khan. This film delves into the Galwan stand-off between India and China on June 15, 2020, which occurred during the peak of the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India.

Actor-producer Ravi Dubey has given fans a sweet glimpse into his personal life by sharing moments from a romantic ‘date night’ with his wife, actress Sargun Mehta.

Ravi took to Instagram, sharing two affectionate pictures of the couple as they marked one year of their production banner. He captioned the post, “Date Night with my darling. One Year of @dreamiyatadramaa Merry Christmas. ok bye.”

‘Ramayana’ aims to create a two-part live-action cinematic universe, envisioned on an unprecedented scale. The movie also boasts top Hollywood stunt directors Terry Notary (known for Avengers and Planet of the Apes) and Guy Norris (Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa), who will choreograph the epic battles between gods and demons.

Filmed for IMAX, ‘Ramayana’ will be released globally, with Part 1 debuting during Diwali 2026 and Part 2 set for Diwali 2027.

Actress Juhi Babbar has shared her excitement about “The Great Shamsuddin Family,” calling it a refreshing change from the serious roles she has recently portrayed. She praised director Anusha Rizvi for providing her with the “freedom to play with so many expressions.”

Set over the course of one day in Delhi, the narrative follows Bani as her mothers, aunts, cousins, and former romantic interests converge on her apartment, each bringing their own emergencies. As she navigates interfaith complexities, generational conflicts, and family expectations, Bani faces a choice between pursuing international career opportunities or remaining with her family.

Amitabh Bachchan is embracing the festive cheer this Christmas, with delicious cookies taking center stage in his celebrations. Legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese has paid tribute to the late Reiners after they were found murdered.

The Reiners, aged 78 and 70, were discovered dead in their Brentwood home on December 14, with knife wounds. Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder, according to reports.

In an essay published in The New York Times, Martin Scorsese expressed his grief, stating, “Rob Reiner was my friend, and so was Michele. From now on, I’ll have to use the past tense, and that fills me with such profound sadness. But there’s no other choice.”

Scorsese first met Rob Reiner shortly after relocating to Los Angeles in the early 1970s. He attended gatherings hosted by George Memmoli, which were filled with comeddigihunt and actors. Reiner hailed from show business royalty, with his parents being performers Carl and Estelle Reiner.

Marty further shared, “Rob and I were both Eastern transplants, in a way. This was 100 percent New York humor, and it was in the air I breathed. Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room.”

He went on to describe Reiner’s vibrant spirit: “He had a beautiful sense of uninhibited freedom, fully enjoying the life of the moment, and he had a great barreling laugh. Earlier this year, filmmaker Anil Sharma announced that “Gadar 3” is officially in development. He revealed that the script is currently being worked on, while additional details about the sequel are being kept confidential for now.

Hollywood actor and disgraced rapper Diddy is seeking release from prison. His legal team has contacted an appeals court regarding his situation.

Currently, Diddy is serving a four-year sentence after being convicted on prostitution-related charges. Reports from ‘Mirror.co.uk’ indicate that the rapper was treated harshly during sentencing by a federal judge. His lawyers contend that evidence related to charges from which he was acquitted unduly influenced the judge’s decision.

As per ‘Mirror.co.uk’, the former music mogul, aged 56, is incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix. He was transferred there from MDC-Brooklyn in October this year. Diddy is in a special drug treatment unit and is not eligible for release until 2028.

He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking in a trial that concluded in July. Combs faced conviction under the Mann Act, which prohibits transporting individuals across state lines for any sexual crime.

His lawyers argue that Judge Arun Subramanian effectively acted as a 13th juror during sentencing in October, imposing a sentence of four years and two months. They assert he made a mistake by allowing the evidence from the acquitted charges to impact the sentencing.

The lawyers pointed out that Diddy was convicted on two lesser counts—prostitution offenses that did not involve force, fraud, or coercion. They have asked the appeals court, which has yet to hear oral arguments, to acquit Diddy, facilitate his immediate release, or direct Judge Subramanian to reconsider his sentence.

“Defendants typically receive sentences of less than 15 months for these offenses, even when coercion—which the jury did not find here—is involved,” his lawyers noted.

“They claimed the judge disregarded the jury’s verdict, asserting that Combs ‘coerced’, ‘exploited’, and ‘forced’ his girlfriends into sex and led a criminal conspiracy. These judicial findings overshadowed the verdict and resulted in the longest sentence ever handed down to a similarly situated defendant,” they emphasized.
