Pankaj Tripathi Debuts as Producer with ‘Perfect Family’: A Refreshing Must-Watch!

National Award-winning actor Pankaj Tripathi is embarking on his production debut with an eight-episode dramedy series titled “Perfect Family.” He expressed that creating his first show in a non-traditional format felt both refreshing and necessary.

    About the Series

Presented as a “JAR Series” and produced by Ajay Rai under the JAR Pictures banner alongside Mohit Chhabra, the show will be available on YouTube through a structured pay model.

Pankaj shared his thoughts on stepping into production: “Perfect Family is incredibly close to my heart, not just for its story but also for the bold distribution path we’re choosing. Today, audiences discover stories directly, and platforms like YouTube have evolved into strong spaces for premium long-format content.”

He added, “Producing my first series in a model that steps away from traditional formats felt both refreshing and essential. When I first heard the idea, I was immediately moved; it’s a real story told with a warm, humorous touch.”

    Themes and Direction

Directed by Sachin Pathak and created by Palak Bhambri, Perfect Family premieres on JAR Series’ official YouTube channel. The show tackles the stigma surrounding therapy in India with a comedic perspective, revolving around a not-so-perfect family compelled to seek therapy due to a situation involving their young daughter, leading to ensuing chaos.

Pankaj emphasized, “Sachin has approached a sensitive topic with such empathy and balance that I believe families everywhere will see a part of themselves in this show. I hope viewers embrace the series and this new way of bringing stories to them.”

    Star-Studded Cast

The cast includes notable actors like Gulshan Devaiah, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, Girija Oak, and others.

Producer Ajay Rai remarked, “At JAR Pictures, we’ve always believed in expanding the possibilities of storytelling, not just in form but in how stories reach people. The YouTube pay model unlocks an entirely new frontier for Indian creators.”

He continued, “With a cast of this calibre and Pankaj stepping into production for the first time, Perfect Family felt like the right project to help define this new space. We’ve believed in this show from day one and can’t wait for audiences across the world to experience it.”

Perfect Family premieres on November 27 on JAR Series’ YouTube channel.

In her Instagram story, the actress shared a screenshot of the fake profile created in her name, stating, “Whoever this idiot is. Please stop writing to people and wasting time! Unfortunately, this is weird. I feel bad for wasting people’s time. This is not me! Not my number!”

On a lighter note, she added, “… The only good thing is, this crappy person is reaching out to people I admire and would love to work with! Very strange! Why would you waste your time to do this? Go get a life, not someone’s impersonator.”

    ### On the Work Front

Shriya Saran was recently seen performing in a dance number for director Ananda Krishnan’s upcoming film, “Non Violence,” which features Metro Shirish, Bobby Simha, and Yogi Babu in lead roles.

A recently released teaser has heightened the excitement among fans.

The teaser opens with two police officers discussing “Double,” whose real name is Mohan. One officer reveals that Double is the key player in sandalwood smuggling, suggesting that much of the operation hinges on him. He even nicknames him “Kutty Veerappan” (Little Veerappan).

The footage showcases Mohan (Prithviraj) as a cheeky and brave character, unafraid to confront police. When an officer warns him, “Who do you think you are? • Vignesh Shivan’s Heartfelt Birthday Message to Nayanthara: ‘Love You Truly, Madly, Deeply!’

Vignesh Shivan’s Heartfelt Birthday Message to Nayanthara: ‘Love You Truly, Madly, Deeply!’

Director Vignesh Shivan has penned a heartfelt birthday wish for his wife, actress Nayanthara, expressing his deep love for her.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a touching message: “Yennam Pol Vazhkai. Happy birthday my uyir @nayanthara. Nee pirandha dhinam…Varam. Love you truly, madly, deeply my azhagi, love you. From your Uyir, Ulag, big uyir, all your beloved people. With an overwhelming heart and a love-filled life, thanking the universe and God Almighty for always blessing us with the best of moments filled with abundant love, unwavering positivity, and pure goodwill.”

Recently, Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara prayed at the famous Kukke Subrahmanya temple in Karnataka. This temple was also visited earlier this year by well-known Telugu director Sampath Nandi, who offered prayers on his birthday.

As Vignesh prepares for the release of his much-anticipated film, ‘Love Insurance Kompany’ (LIK), starring actors Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty, he postpones the film’s release from October 17 to December 18 to avoid a clash with Ranganathan’s film, ‘Dude.’

The release has already been postponed several times, putting Vignesh under significant pressure. On October 17, he reflected on his superhit film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan,’ which completed 10 years, sharing a heartfelt note on Instagram: “Ten years of NaanumRowdyDhaan today… October 21st, 2015. A life blessed with many miracles started from this lovely day. How beautifully time has played its tune…”

He explained that he had envisioned the day differently, hoping that ‘Love Insurance Kompany’ would resonate with audiences, making the occasion even more special. He shared, “Somewhere deep down, I had kept my happiness saved for that moment. But life, in its quiet wisdom, taught me something far more beautiful today.”

Vignesh pointed out that despite not having the “big moment,” he was finding contentment. “Maybe this Diwali was meant to remind me that happiness doesn’t always come with applause, astounding success, ambitious results, or release dates,” he noted.

He expressed that chasing milestones often leads to the misconception that only these achievements can bring happiness. “If you keep the rules for it simple and silly, it can be a gentle pause from everything else that kept you busy; a warm hug from your loving wife, that kiss reassuring the deep love existing for over a decade. All these are as valuable as the big wins we save our happiness for,” he shared.

Vignesh concluded by reflecting on the beauty of life’s simplicity and gratitude, stating, “Sometimes dreams take a different route — but God, in His quiet way, finds a method and timing to make you smile. A heart that feels grateful, even when things don’t go as planned, is blessed.”

He quoted, “Nenacchadhu nadandhaalum, nadakkalanaalum! Nalladheyyyy nadakkummm nu nambuvom,” signifying that whether what you believe happens or not, let’s trust that good things will come. “Believe that… Life is beautiful! God is great!”

International Men’s Day: Rajendra Chawla Calls for a Redefinition of Masculinity

Actor Rajendra Chawla, who is set to appear in the upcoming show ‘Lakshmi Niwas’, is celebrating International Men’s Day with a powerful message.

    Redefining Masculinity

Chawla emphasized the long-standing societal expectation for men to be tough and suppress their emotions. He called on the men’s community to redefine what masculinity looks like.

He shared, “Through the years, men have been conditioned to believe that showing emotions is a sign of weakness. But I believe that being honest about your feelings takes immense strength.”

On this International Men’s Day, he urged everyone to view masculinity as a blend of responsibility, empathy, and openness. “Let’s create a world where men don’t have to hide their pain to be respected, and where kindness is celebrated as much as courage,” he added.

    Personal Reflections

Earlier, Chawla spoke about how his real-life experiences closely mirror his character’s journey in ‘Lakshmi Niwas’. He reflected on a poignant memory from his childhood that taught him the true essence of stability and self-reliance.

He shared, “From my perspective, half my life has gone into building a home because I started my journey with that one dream: ek din apna ghar hoga. When you come from a middle-class background, you don’t just dream; you plan, you save, you sacrifice. You grow up seeing your parents turn every small saving into a stepping stone for something bigger. I still remember the day my father took me to the bank and said, ‘Beta, today we’ll make a small, fixed deposit in your name.’ I thought it was a gift. But after a few minutes, he smiled and said, ‘I’m not giving you money; I’m giving you an injection, a habit to save.’ That stayed with me for life. Slowly, over the years, those tiny savings became the foundation of my own home.”

    About ‘Lakshmi Niwas’

In ‘Lakshmi Niwas’, Chawla plays the role of Srinivas, a devoted and selfless family man. He has dedicated his life to managing household responsibilities, ensuring his children receive a good education, supporting their marriages, and fulfilling his wife Lakshmi’s wishes for the family.

Despite his dedication to these responsibilities, Srinivas’s personal dream of building a home for his wife has always taken a backseat. Now, as retirement approaches, that long-held promise is becoming central to their relationship.

‘Lakshmi Niwas’ is set to air on Zee TV.
