Hollywood actor Austin Butler is diving deep into preparation for the next chapter of his life. The ‘Elvis’ star, 34, recently shared insights about how his career has shaped his real-life experiences.
On Family and Future Aspirations
In an exclusive with ‘Vanity Fair’, Butler discussed his evolving perspective on artistry. He once believed he had to sacrifice personal happiness to be a “great artist,” expressing that such fears stemmed from a sense that his life experiences were not “enough.”
However, the ‘Dune: Part Two’ actor is shifting his mindset. He’s focused on letting go of past mistakes and looking ahead. Butler is preparing himself to become the best husband and father one day. “You get one life, so how can I allow that to hopefully make me a better friend and a better partner, and a better husband, one day, and a better father, one day, God willing?” he remarked.
Stepping into the Uncle Role
While Butler is not yet a father, he embraces the role of “fun uncle” to fellow Disney alum Ashley Tisdale’s 4-year-old daughter, Jupiter. At the Los Angeles premiere of his movie Bikeriders in June 2024, he shared with E! News that he feels like family to Tisdale, 40, and her children, whom she shares with husband Christopher French.
“I love being the fun uncle,” he expressed. “I play with the toys and whatnot, and then I can go home at the end of the day.” He also praised Tisdale’s parenting skills, stating that she’s “such a good mom.”
“I feel so honored to be a part of her life and to get to know her children,” he concluded.
