When it comes to Bollywood, there is no dearth of fashion designers. In fact it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to state that they are ubiquitious. From styling for Bollywood films, to being the preferred choice for Tinsel town celebs, Btown’s fashion designers are all pervading when it comes to fashion statements. All of us have heard of Manish Malhotra, Wendell Rodrigues, Sabyasachi so on and so forth. However, there are many others who have stunning wardrobes that are used in many Bollywood films and umpteen celebs use their creations as personal designs too for the sheer beauty of their work.
Having said that, these designers don’t get to come to the forefront because of various reasons and the main being publicity! One such stunning designer who is making waves in the industry is Nadeem Bakshi!
Yes, you read that right. Nadeem is one of the most sought after Bollywood fashion designers who has stunning collections in his kitty and has designed for many Bollywood films. He has also been a personal designer for many Bollywood celebrites.
Bakshi has worked with Optimystix Entertaiment Mumbai, as stylist for their Life Ok show “Comedy classes” where his work included coordination with the channel and the production house, designing and managing apparels, accessories, make-up and hair styles of the artists for the show, offering customized styling services in accordance to the requirement of the show so on and so forth.
In the year 2016, Bakshi worked in the Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arbaaz Khan, Amy Jackson starrer “Freaky Ali” as the designer and the stylist. He was also the personal stylist for Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan for their 2009 film “Tum Mile”. Bakshi was also the designer for the 2019 Anupam Kher starrer critically acclaimed film “The Accidental Prime Minister”.
Besides working for films Bakshi has worked very closely with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and has designed clothes for the actor in big-time ad films as well. The maverick designer is pretty well known in the fashion circuit and his connections have granted him the opportunity to organise many fashion shows in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and other parts of the country.
Nadeem is surely a designer who is constanlty rising as far as the fame ladder is concerned in the fashion industry and is gradually making a mark of his own in the midst of the clutter that prevails, with his unqiue talent.
Currently, Bakshi is working on a South Indian project and another film called “Pravaham” oka Chota Agadhu directed by Ashok R Kondke produced by Ashok and Jimmy.
We are sure looking forward to his other work and we wish him all the luck and success for his future endeavours.
