Will Virat Kohli & Ravichandran Ashwin take India to the finals of the word test championship? Find out!

Kohli, with 692 runs and an average of 86.50, was the second batsman in Test annals to post two hundred as a captaincy debut. Virat is the only captain to register two centuries in a Test match against Australia in the match. Kohli scored 256 runs in the 2014 Adelaide Test – the most by any batsman on his captaincy debut. Kohli remains one of only two Indian captains to have managed a hundred in the fourth innings of a Test. Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, India has been the number one Test team in the ICC ranking for a continuous 42 months from October 2016 to March 2020 which ultimately resulted in the massive win against Australia in the maiden Test series in 2028-19.
The former Indian skipper holds the records for most Test matches as captain for India and he played his 61st Test match as a captain in the Word Test Championship Final against New Zealand.

India’s premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’s love affair with Australia is no secret. The 36 year old Ashwin who has 449 test wickets has played 18 Tests against Australia and taken 89 wickets, which is the most for him against a single Test-playing nation. The veteran off-spinner is once again ready to roll his arm over against the Aussies in a four-Test home series, hoping to make that 89 wickets into a 100 wickets.

Both the teams will square off against each other in four test matches and three ODIs. As we all know, Rohit Sharma will be the captain of the test series which will start from 9th of February in Nagpur at 9:30 am onwards. The winner of the series will make it into the finals of the World Test Championship (WTC).

As the battle to reach the final of the World Test Championship begins from 9th of February2023 we are all eyes to see who can make the cut.
