Netflix released the trailer of the White Tiger starring Priyanka Chopra

Netflix has released the first trailer of “The White Tiger” on October 28th which is adapted from Aravind Adiga’s award-winning novel of the same name. The film featuring Adarsh Gourav, Rajkummar Rao, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be released globally across 190 countries. Priyanka Chopra had unveiled the first look of the film a few days back on her Instagram handle as well. Ramin Bahrani has written the screen adaptation of ” The White Tiger” for Netflix. Reportedly, The film was shot within New Delhi, Bengaluru, Dhanbad, and Agra with an Indian crew.

The film revolves around Balram Halwai (Adarsh Gourav) who narrates his dark and humorous rise from a poor and ambitionless villager to a rich businessman in India, of course with the help of crime, treachery, and power. He paves his way to the top by starting as a driver for Ashok, played by Rajkummar Rao, and Pinky, played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who are both American returns.  All through the trailer, it’s shown how Balram has been conditioned to only be a servant and that is what he wants to do. But after an incident, he realizes how his masters are corrupt people who do not care about anything but themselves. So Balram turns a renegade against an unequal system and becomes a  master himself.

The film is expected to release in January next year on Netflix. Stay tuned to know more.
