As Hrithik Roshan celebrates his 52nd birthday, television actor Vivek Dahiya pays a heartfelt tribute to his favorite star, reminiscing about the magic of Hrithik’s debut film, “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai.”

Reflections on a 26-Year Journey

Looking back after 26 years, Vivek expresses his difficulty in choosing between the film’s two iconic characters, Rohit and Raj. This speaks volumes about the enduring charm of Hrithik’s performance.

Vivek shared a nostalgic throwback video from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 11 on Instagram, showing him practicing the title number. In his caption, he shared his thoughts: “It’s been 26 years and I still can’t decide who did I adore more, Rohit or Raj? To create that effect as a debutant was unheard of.”

Inspired by Hrithik

The actor also mentioned how he was influenced by Hrithik’s iconic style in the film. “No debut has matched the grandiosity of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.’ Growing up in class eight when the film released, I too jumped onto the rimless glasses trend and even rocked those iconic side-locks! From that day until now, you’ve inspired us time and again with your iconic performances,” Vivek revealed.

Celebration of Legacy

Vivek concluded his tribute with a special mention of his choreographer, @lipsa893, whose birthday coincides with Hrithik’s. He wrote, “This journey has been extra special thanks to my amazing choreographer. Celebrating Hrithik’s legacy and the wonderful memories we’ve created together. Happy birthday to both of you and here’s to many more magical moments!”

A Cinematic Milestone

“Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai” was directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, and it marked the debut of Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel. The film also features a supporting cast that includes Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Mohnish Bahl, Ashish Vidyarthi, Satish Shah, Farida Jalal, Asha Patel, Rajesh Tandon, and Tannaz Irani.

The film’s narrative draws thematic inspiration from the 1986 Kannada film “Ratha Sapthami.” It follows Sonia and Rohit, whose blossoming romance is tragically cut short. Sonia later meets Raj, Rohit’s lookalike, in New Zealand, and together they strive to uncover the truth behind Rohit’s untimely death.
