Actress Shruti Haasan kicked off 2026 with some love from her father, the legendary actor Kamal Haasan.
Shruti took to the Stories section of her official Instagram handle and shared a lovely collage of her photographs with her dad Kamal. The pictures captured the ‘Saalar’ actress beaming with her infectious smile while placing her hand on her father’s shoulders, who looked directly into the camera.
She added a heartfelt message on the picture, writing, “It ain’t New Year’s without Appa hugs @ikamalhaasan (sic)”, accompanied by red heart and evil eye emojis.
The ‘Premam’ actress has always been a steadfast supporter of her dad and never misses a chance to express her love for the veteran star. When Kamal Haasan celebrated his birthday in November, Shruti paid tribute to her ‘favourite human & incredible appa’ with a touching social media post.
Her Instagram message read, “Happy birthday to my favourite human who also happens to be my incredible appa :)” She expressed gratitude for Kamal Haasan being the ‘most adorable daddy’, adding, “Thank you for your words of wisdom that you impart with such ease and humour, for being the most adorable daddy who still buys me my favourite cookies and snacks, the best person to sing with and talk music and movies, and for being the one person who makes me laugh through everything… This birthday, I wish for you to be all that you continue to dream to be … your magic, your sparkle, and your gorgeous soul are without comparison in this universe… happy happy to you @ikamalhaasan.”
Recently, Shruti revealed that she learned more in 2025 than she had in the last ten years of her life.
“What a mad year it’s been! Life is truly an up-and-down roller coaster! I learned more in 2025 than I have in the last ten years! Phew! Thankful for the lessons, the love, and the light, and I can’t wait for 2026. Wishing you all the best of all your hearts’ desires—let’s rock and roll, baby!!!!,” her post read.
