Actor Shakti Anand recently shared a candid glimpse from the sets of the iconic television show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. His post features a fun selfie that captures the lighter moments behind the scenes.
Camaraderie Off Camera
While the series is famous for its intense melodrama, Shakti’s post highlights the camaraderie and fun that unfolded off-camera. Portraying Hemant Virani, he took to Instagram to share a series of images from the show’s set. About the Show
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 premiered on 29 July 2025, serving as a sequel and reboot of the original series. Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay returned to portray the lead roles of Tulsi and Mihir Virani, while Rohit Suchanti, Tanisha Mehta, Shagun Sharma, and Aman Gandhi brought the second-generation characters to life.
The original show launched in 2008 and revolved around an ideal daughter-in-law, the daughter of a pandit married to Mihir, the grandson of business tycoon Govardhan Virani. Smriti Irani played the pivotal role of Tulsi Virani.
Shakti’s Journey
Shakti Anand received the offer for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi while working as a medical examiner in Delhi. He previously portrayed a blind boy in the telefilm Nayan Jyoti.
Additionally, he and his wife, Sai Deodhar, participated in the first season of the celebrity dance show Nach Baliye. In Godh Bharaai, he played the character Shivam. His other notable works include Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, SuperCops vs Supervillains, and appearances as Shiv in Gangaa and as Emperor Balakumara in Tenali Rama.
Recently, Shakti played Amber Singh in Channa Mereya and has reprised his role as Advocate Hemant Virani in the spiritual sequel of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi since July 2025.
