Actor Sanjay Kapoor recently took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about his first negative role in the 2002 film “Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe.”
Reflecting on His Journey
Sanjay shared that despite the film’s underwhelming performance at the box office, it played a significant role in his growth as an actor. It inspired him to explore character-driven movies and broaden his artistic horizons.
The actor treated his Instagram followers to some nostalgic glimpses from the movie, captioning one post: “25 years ago I did my first Negative role in Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. Even though the film didn’t do well it gave me a lot of confidence to do character-driven films! (sic).”
About the Film
“Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe,” a remake of the 1997 Telugu film “Pelli,” features a strong cast, including Aftab Shivdasani, Esha Deol, Jaya Bachchan, and Anupam Kher, among others. The romantic thriller revolves around Aman (played by Aftab), a dress designer who falls in love with Esha (played by Esha Deol). However, their romance takes a dark turn when shocking secrets from her past threaten their future together.
The film was produced by Sanjay’s brother, Boney Kapoor, and features a talented technical crew, with Rajan Kothari as the cinematographer, Shirish Kunder as the editor, and Rajesh Roshan as the music composer.
Social Media Love
Sanjay also makes it a point to express his affection for his loved ones on social media. In December, he shared a heartfelt birthday wish for his elder brother Anil Kapoor, posting an old photo of the Kapoor brothers along with the message: “Happy birthday big brother, lots of love. You’ve been an inspiration for the whole family and me, so keep inspiring and showing us the path! @anilskapoor (sic).”
