Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has shared a heartfelt birthday message for his son, the superstar Hrithik Roshan, famously known as the Greek God of Bollywood, as he celebrated his 52nd birthday.

Rakesh took to social media to extend his warm wishes to his son, affectionately called ‘Duggu.’ He also shared an artistic creative featuring Hrithik, showcasing both his youthful days and his current self.

In the caption, Rakesh expressed, “Duggu love you more every year. Happy birthday! Creative by @art_ofroshans. Thank you.”

Rakesh Roshan is married to Pinkie Roshan, and together they have two children: Sunaina Roshan and Hrithik Roshan.

Often hailed as the millennial superstar, Hrithik is among the highest-paid actors in India. Since 2012, he has consistently appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list, highlighting his impressive income and popularity.

Starting his career as a child actor in several films during the 1980s, Hrithik later worked as an assistant director on four of his father’s films. His breakthrough role came with the box-office hit Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai.

Hrithik gained significant fame through his performances in the 2000 drama Fiza and the ensemble family drama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001. The 2003 science fiction film Koi… Mil Gaya marked a pivotal moment in his career, leading to his portrayal of a superhero in the Krrish franchise. His role as an army officer in Lakshya was also highly acclaimed.

He has since starred in various successful films, including Dhoom 2, Jodhaa Akbar, Guzaarish, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Agneepath, Super 30, Bang Bang!, War, and Fighter.

Looking ahead, Hrithik is set to make his debut in the OTT space as a producer with “Storm.” He has partnered with Prime Video for this thriller set in Mumbai, with production expected to commence shortly, as reported by Variety.

“Storm” is created and directed by the acclaimed Ajitpal Singh, known for his work on the series “Tabbar” and the Sundance selection “Fire in the Mountains,” according to Variety.

In April 2025, it was announced that Hrithik would make his directorial debut with ‘Krrish 4,’ passing the baton of a franchise he has developed over the past 22 years. The film is produced by Yash Raj Films in collaboration with Rakesh Roshan, with Hrithik juggling both directing and acting roles as he reprises his superhero character in the franchise. Filming for the project is set to begin early next year.
