NBSE Result 2025 Declared: Nagaland Board Announces HSLC and HSSLC Exam Results

Kohima: The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has officially declared the much-awaited HSLC (Class 10) and HSSLC (Class 12) examination results today, April 25, 2025. The results were announced at 2 PM, bringing an end to the anxious wait for thousands of students across the state who appeared for the board examinations earlier this year.

How to Check NBSE HSLC and HSSLC Results 2025

Students can access their Nagaland Board results through multiple channels:

  1. Visit the official NBSE website: nbsenl.edu.in
  2. Click on “Examination Results” section
  3. Select “HSLC 2025” or “HSSLC 2025” link
  4. Enter roll number and date of birth
  5. Download and save the result PDF

For students facing website issues, results can also be checked via SMS by sending:

  • NB10 [space] Roll Number to 56070 (for Class 10)
  • NB12 Roll Number to 56070 (for Class 12)

Examination Overview

The NBSE conducted the Class 10 (HSLC) examinations from February 12 to February 24, 2025, while the Class 12 (HSSLC) exams were held between February 11 and March 7, 2025. A total of 23,267 students, including 957 compartmental candidates, appeared for the HSLC exams across 97 examination centers. For the HSSLC exams, 17,194 students (including 546 compartmental candidates) wrote the tests at 68 centers across Nagaland.

  • Arts Stream: 12,403 students
  • Science Stream: 3,219 students
  • Commerce Stream: 1,026 students

The NBSE has also released the merit list along with the results. Last year’s toppers set a high benchmark with impressive scores:

2024 HSLC Toppers:

  1. Mhachilo Yanthan – 98.83%
  2. Ketsino Jane Frances – 98.67%
  3. Pabitra Deb – 98.58%

2024 HSSLC Toppers:

  • Commerce: Satyam Kumar Jaiswal – 98.40%
  • Arts: Keletsole Mekro – 97.40%
  • Science: Narola Imsong – 96.20%

What’s Next for Students?

Students who couldn’t clear the examinations will have an opportunity to appear for improvement examinations, likely to be held in June 2025. For HSSLC students, improvement exams are available for those who:

  • Want to improve their performance in four or fewer subjects
  • Failed in one subject but qualified in the main examination

The application process for improvement exams will be conducted online through the NBSE portal, with a fee of ₹650 per subject.

Document Distribution Timeline

The Board will issue official documents to Centre Superintendents from May 2 to May 6, 2025. Centre Superintendents will then distribute these documents to the schools under their jurisdiction.
