Actress and television presenter Mandira Bedi has embarked on a heartfelt 21-day mannat of gratitude, committing to visit the Gurudwara daily, even on her busiest days.
What sets this mannat apart is its flexible approach. Mandira is not adhering to a strict schedule; instead, she emphasizes the importance of simply showing up each day irrespective of her commitments.
Sharing her thoughts, Mandira expressed, “I made a 21-day mannat to begin 2026 on a note of gratitude by visiting the Gurudwara every day. It doesn’t have to be at a fixed time. What matters is showing up. Everyday.”
She continued, “Even while travelling for work, like in Udaipur, where I went in between two events, it was a challenge, but I’ve managed to keep that promise. So far, it’s been beautiful and has kept me joyful and centred.”
Mandira first gained recognition for her role in the 1994 television show, Shanti, which aired on Doordarshan, India’s national channel. In 2019, she portrayed a negative character in the film Saaho.
She has also featured in numerous Hindi TV serials such as Aurat, Dushman, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Moreover, she began hosting the ICC Cricket World Cups in 2003 and 2007, as well as the Champions Trophies in 2004 and 2006, along with the Indian Premier League.
In 2025, Mandira appeared in the Malayalam-language action thriller film Identity, alongside stars like Tovino Thomas, Trisha Krishnan, and Vinay Rai.
On the television front, she was seen in the OTT series The Railway Men: The Untold Story of Bhopal 1984. This historical disaster thriller highlights the efforts of railway workers who saved many lives during the tragic 1984 gas leak at the Union Carbide India Limited plant in Bhopal and features an impressive cast including R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu, Babil Khan, and Juhi Chawla.
