Divorce Details
As revealed by People, JLo started 2025 amidst her divorce, which was officially finalized in January, approximately 20 weeks after she filed for marital dissolution on August 20. The ‘Hustlers’ star filed for divorce exactly two years after her second wedding ceremony in Georgia, specifying April 26, 2024, as the date of her separation from Affleck.
The ceremony in Georgia took place in front of family and friends, just a month after the couple’s intimate Las Vegas wedding in July 2022. This marked the second time the exes have attempted a relationship; they ended their first engagement in 2004 and rekindled their romance in 2021.
Excitement for the Future
Post-split, Lopez shared in an October 2024 conversation with Interview magazine her excitement about being single after facing “different challenging situations” throughout her life. She expressed, “Now I’m excited, when you say you’re just going to be on your own. Yes, I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f** do when it’s just me flying on my own?
