Actor Jackie Shroff recently paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actress Nanda on her 86th birth anniversary, recalling her elegance and significant impact on Hindi cinema.

Jackie shared a video montage on his Instagram Stories, showcasing a collection of images of Nanda, set to the melody of “Yeh Samaa Samaa Hai Pyar Ka” from the 1965 film Jab Jab Phool Khile, directed by Suraj Prakash. This film tells the story of a poor boatman in Jammu and Kashmir who falls in love with a wealthy tourist. It was a blockbuster success, becoming the second highest-grossing Hindi film of 1965.
In his post, Jackie wrote: “Remembering Nanda Ji on her birth anniversary.”
Nanda’s Career Highlights
Nanda had an impressive career spanning over 30 years, with notable films including Chhoti Bahen, Dhool Ka Phool, Bhabhi, Kala Bazar, Kanoon, Hum Dono, Jab Jab Phool Khile, Gumnaam, Ittefaq, The Train, and Prem Rog. Her final appearance on screen was in the 1983 film Mazdoor, which featured stars like Dilip Kumar, Raj Babbar, Suresh Oberoi, Rati Agnihotri, Padmini Kolhapure, Iftekhar, Madan Puri, and Johnny Walker.
Sadly, Nanda passed away in 2014 at the age of 75 in her Mumbai residence due to a heart attack. She is survived by her nephew Swastik Karnatki and great-nephew Karan Gurbaxani.

On the professional front, Jackie’s latest release is Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, a romantic comedy directed by Sameer Vidwans, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, along with Neena Gupta and Tiku Talsania.
He is also gearing up for his upcoming comedy film, Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan.
