Actress Shilpa Shirodkar recently wished a happy birthday to her favorite person and ‘Bigg Boss 18’ housemate, Karan Veer Mehra.

Shilpa took to her official Instagram handle to share two fun selfies with Karan, followed by a cute photo of them standing next to a car, where Karan is affectionately holding Shilpa’s face. In her heartfelt birthday message, Shilpa acknowledged that her journey in “Bigg Boss” would have been significantly less enjoyable without Karan.

Showering love on the birthday boy, the ‘Jatadhara’ actress expressed, “Happy birthday to my favorite person! Honestly Karan, Bigg Boss would’ve been so different (and way less fun) without you there. I’m so proud of you. Keep killing it and reaching those big goals. Dher saara pyaar ❤️ (sic).”

Anupam Kher maintains a close bond with his mother, frequently offering glimpses of their affectionate interactions through social media. A few weeks ago, he shared another clip where Dulari expressed her disappointment with him for not visiting recently. Still visibly annoyed, she reminded him of the times he used to call her at night.

Recalling her debut commercial film, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun,’ Himani shared her initial meeting with the superstar and a memorable moment during filming. Coming from a strong theatre background, she reflected on how her journey in Bollywood began and her experiences working alongside Salman in several successful projects. She cherished the actor as a genuine person with a heart of gold.

A Memorable Incident on Set

Posting photos from the sets of ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun,’ Himani described her first scene with Salman. Director Sooraj Barjatya explained the shot and called for action. To everyone’s surprise, Salman lifted her mid-scene. Her instinctive reaction as a theatre artist impressed the director so much that the spontaneous take was retained in the film.

Himani shared a heartfelt message: “Happy Birthday to Salman Khan, the Bhaijan of our industry! I can never forget my first meeting with Bhaijan; it was on the sets of Hum Aapke Hain Koun, my first commercial film. Coming from NSD repertory and a theatre background, this experience was completely different—big stars like Madhuri, Salman, Bindu, Rima, and Anupam. The only one I knew was Anupam, my senior who had come to watch my play, Surya.”

She continued, “In my first scene with Bhaijan, Sooraj ji explained the scene, said action, and to everyone’s surprise, Salman lifted me up. Coming from a theatrical background, I instinctively reacted. Soorajji liked the take and kept it. I went on to do many films with him, such as Biwi No. 1, Bandhan, Hum Sath Sath Hain, Chal Mere Bhai, and Veergati, to name a few. Hollywood actress Jamie Lee Curtis is expressing heartfelt gratitude to her mother, Janet Leigh, who was also an actress. Curtis recently shared that her mother made the important decision to delay her entry into horror films.

Janet Leigh turned down a significant opportunity, protecting her then 12-year-old daughter from early fame and potential trauma associated with starring in one of the scariest movies ever produced. During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Curtis revealed that a producer wanted her to audition for The Exorcist.

“He called my mom and said, ‘Hey, I’m producing the movie of the book The Exorcist. Will you let Jamie audition for it?’ At that time, I was probably 12, cute and kind of sassy with some personality. I’m sure he saw me at a party and thought, ‘Oh, she’d be funny.’ And my mother said, ‘No.’”

In her conversation with Barrymore, Curtis emphasized, “My mom really wanted me to have, thank God, a childhood, which I understand you didn’t get. You didn’t get that option.”

Popular television couple Debinna Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary were joined by their two little munchkins, Lianna and Divisha, during a recent shoot.

Sharing her experience from a day filled with both excitement and nervousness, she posted a video on social media. “Every day of the shoot is different, but today my two little girls are coming to be my co-stars. Oh my god! To be honest, I was more anxious than excited. I couldn’t even sleep well. All night long, I kept thinking about how it would happen, what would happen, how would they behave, how would I manage. But then I remembered that there is no rehearsal for life with kids. With them, life is a googly, and our job as mothers is to catch every ball with love and patience.”

However, contrary to Debinna’s fears, the girls had a fantastic time on set, creating memorable moments.

“And then that moment came. My kids, my cuddlies, for the first time on a professional set. They saw the camera, the lights, and I thought they might be nervous. But no, I was the one who was nervous. They were in full Bindas mode. Sometimes I was melting seeing them, sometimes I was running after them. And in between, my real motherly nervousness—what if they start crying or get clingy,” she elaborated.

This experience led Debinna to realize how often kids surprise their parents.

“Today became special. Because this is not just their first shoot. This is also a new memory for me. A day that I will always want to remember,” she concluded.

Bollywood’s stalwart Amitabh Bachchan recently took to his blog to share his thoughts on the artist’s perpetual journey to refine their craft. He emphasized that achieving satisfaction in one’s work stems from a continuous commitment to improvement.

Reflecting on what “job done” truly signifies, Big B expressed, “When work calls, it calls for attention and presence… for committed timelines to be accomplished. It’s now common to receive praise and concrete appreciation from others (ah! we ponder that term again). But in the face of this external validation, one’s own acknowledgment often feels diminished,” he noted.

Bachchan further stressed the importance of personal assessment, stating, “Your own silent evaluation may be essential for personal perfection… although ‘perfection’ is a concept often dismissed—who are we to provide such guidance? It can often border on self-contained imagery, frequently undeserved.”

Actress Neha Dhupia joyfully returned to the stage after nearly eight years, showcasing her passion for dance.
