Actress Chitrangda Singh believes that learning to say no has been a crucial lesson in her journey as an artist. She feels that taking on subpar projects can weaken an actor’s credibility, although she acknowledges that not every decision is correct in hindsight.

The Importance of Saying No

Discussing what she has learned from her experiences with rejection, Chitrangda remarked, “I think what saying no has taught me is that you tend to dilute your equity as an actor, or your sort of credibility as an actor, if you do bad work, and I’m not saying every time you make the right choice.”

She elaborated, “Sometimes you say no to good work and you don’t realize that you’re making a mistake. But yeah, there have been times I said no, and I’m happy that I did say no — so many times, actually.”

Value of a Strong Creative Team

Chitrangda emphasized the significance of having a solid creative team. She pointed out that a director’s vision and strong filmmaking are essential for helping an actor truly shine. “Because I feel that, at the end of it, it is the team that really, really matters. It’s the director’s vision, what happens at the edit table, how they look at a character. So yeah, it’s very important that you work with good makers. I think that really does help an actor shine,” she said.

Upcoming Projects

Chitrangda’s latest release is Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, a gripping tale that unravels a web of greed, betrayal, and secrets, culminating in a lethal conspiracy uncovered by inspector Jatil Yadav after the Bansal family is found murdered.

In her upcoming film, Battle Of Galwan, she will share the screen with Salman Khan. This film, based on real-life events, dives deep into military history.

Reflecting on the film, Chitrangda said, “It’s a story of bravery and courage. Coming from an army background, I remember this event being spoken about in our circles. So to be part of this film feels very personal.” She assured audiences that Battle Of Galwan is more than just a visual spectacle.

“It’s meaningful. It’s rooted. It’s real,” she stated, expressing pride and a connection that transcends a typical role. She views it as an opportunity to honor real heroes and bring forgotten or lesser-known stories into the mainstream.

Will Smith is facing a lawsuit from a tour violinist who is accusing the Hollywood star and rapper of sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation.

In the lawsuit, musician Brian King Joseph names both Smith and Treyball Studios Management as defendants. He alleges that Smith engaged in “predatory behavior” and “deliberately groomed and primed Joseph for further sexual exploitation” during his “Based on a True Story: 2025 Tour” this past spring.

The suit states that Smith hired Joseph in November 2024 for a performance in San Diego, and later invited him to join his 2025 tour and contribute to his upcoming album. As their relationship progressed, Smith expressed sentiments like, “you and I have such a special connection, that I don’t have with anyone else,” among other similar remarks.

Joseph, who was a competitor on “America’s Got Talent,” participated in the first leg of Smith’s tour in March 2025, starting with a show in Las Vegas. The tour had accommodations booked for the band and crew.

According to the lawsuit, Joseph’s bag, which held his hotel room key, went missing for several hours before management found and returned it to him. The suit claims that only management had access to his hotel room.

Later that evening, Joseph discovered that someone had “unlawfully” entered his room, leaving behind items such as wipes, a bottle of HIV medication belonging to another individual, and a note addressed to him. The note read, “Brian, I’ll be back no later (sic) 5:30, just us (drawn heart), Stone F,” which Joseph interpreted as a warning that an unknown person would soon return to his room for sexual encounters.

He promptly informed hotel security and contacted Smith’s representatives, also filing a report with a non-emergency police line.

Shortly after the incident, a member of the management team allegedly “shamed” him for what occurred, claiming that he had fabricated the situation and informed him of his termination.

The lawsuit asserts that this termination has led to Joseph suffering from PTSD and economic loss. He is seeking damages for retaliation, wrongful termination, and sexual harassment, asking that the amount be determined by a jury.

Meanwhile, The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran, narrates the journey of a young woman navigating love, compatibility, and self-discovery during her college years, exploring the complexities of relationships and personal growth.

Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet has a knack for authenticity in his roles, refusing a butt double in his upcoming film, Marty Supreme.

The 30-year-old star portrays a ping pong champion in this new sports drama. In one particularly striking scene, his character is spanked by Kevin O’Leary’s pen entrepreneur, Milton Rockwell. Legendary screenwriter Javed Akhtar has issued a warning of potential legal action against those responsible for circulating a deepfake video of him, which comes with misleading claims.

On Thursday, Akhtar took to his X account, formerly Twitter, to share a detailed note addressing the fabricated video. He stated, “A fake video is in circulation showing my fake computer generated picture with a topi on my head claiming that ultimately I have turned to God. It is rubbish.”

He further emphasized, “I am seriously considering reporting this to the cyber police and ultimately dragging the person responsible for this fake news and those few who forward it to court for damaging my reputation and credibility.”
