Veteran Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan seems to be ready to move on from 2026. Recently, he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, sharing a note about the new year. He pointed out that two days have already passed in 2026, leaving just 363 days until 2027.
He wrote, “T 5613 – 2 days have passed; 363 are left.”
Big B is well-known for his brief yet engaging tweets, which often amuse his followers. The actor continues to host the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’
In a recent episode, actress Mithila Palkar, who visited the sets of the popular show, entertained the audience by asking Amitabh to decode some popular Marathi phrases. Among them was the word “Shaana.”
To this, Big B smiled and replied, “Someone who thinks they are very smart.” Mithila laughed and confirmed his answer was correct. Accompanying her was Sharib Hashmi, who further challenged Amitabh with the phrase “Dedh Shaana.” The star’s response was, “A person who tries to act extra smart.”
Mithila nodded in approval, clearly impressed by his quick thinking. She later asked Amitabh about the meaning of “Sumdi to Komdi.” When he seemed unsure about the translation, she offered a relatable hint, explaining it as doing something sneaky, like sneaking into the fridge at midnight to enjoy extra Diwali sweets when told to have only one.
After a brief pause, Amitabh’s face lit up as he exclaimed, “Oh yes, stealing!” They shared a hearty laugh, with Big B adding, “I will use this tonight.” Mithila then revisited the slang “Vaat Laagli,” which Amitabh repeated in his distinctive style, prompting the audience to burst into laughter.
Beyond the fun-filled exchange, Mithila expressed her gratitude on social media. She shared, “Grew up watching him do his magic, grew up watching this show, and now got to be on this show with him. So grateful that I get to live this life.”
The special episode will also feature actors Vir Das and Mona Singh on the hot seat, with Sharib Hashmi joining the celebration.
