Veteran actor Anupam Kher is celebrating a significant milestone with his 550th film, “Khosla Ka Ghosla 2.” Renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai reminisced about the words of Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar during the filming of their movie “Karma.”
Ghai shared that while shooting the first scene with Kher, Dilip Kumar predicted a bright future for him in the industry. “I remember our emperor of cinema, acting DILIP KUMAR, shooting his first shot with Anupam Kher, walking alongside him as Dr. Dang on the sets of my film Karma in 1984. Dilip Saab said to me, ‘This boy is a good actor and going to stay for a long,’” Ghai recalled.
He praised Kher for his versatility and his relentless pursuit of quality work. Ghai remarked, “Now, Anupam Kher celebrating his 550th film on set makes me feel proud of his versatility, humanity, and hunger to work better than just for money. Keep soaring, my friend, and stay blessed always… love you… SG.”
On the first day of shooting for the eagerly awaited sequel “Khosla Ka Ghosla 2,” Kher reflected on his journey since arriving in Mumbai. He expressed in his Instagram post, “So today as I start my 550th film #KhoslaKaGhosla2, my heart is filled with GRATITUDE and THANKFULNESS! When I landed in #Mumbai, the city of dreams, on June 3, 1981, I never imagined I would reach this LANDMARK of 550 films.”
Kher acknowledged that he sees himself at the ‘interval point’ in his journey, indicating he has much more to contribute as an artist. He emphasized, “But here I am in Delhi, ready to give my first shot for KKG2. Just FYI, I genuinely feel I have so much to give, so much to do! I have reached only the ‘interval point’ of my life and my career! Dreams have no EXPIRY date!”
