Actress Amy Schumer is welcoming the New Year while embracing her single era. She recently gave her followers a glimpse of her unique celebration with two posts on Instagram.
In one of her posts, the newly single actress shared a picture where she can be seen sitting alone on a sofa in a dimly lit room. She captioned the image, “Happy New Year! #sensualphoto.” In the photo, she donned a loose-fitting T-shirt under a black hoodie, sporting a makeup-free look with her hair tied in a ponytail. Schumer playfully crossed her eyes and made a funny face while holding a container of spaghetti.
Additionally, she shared the same image on her Instagram Stories, this time including the text, “Who’s kissing this at midnight?” On December 12, Amy confirmed her split from Chris Fischer, announcing online that they had decided to part ways after seven years of marriage.
“Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,” the comedian stated in a since-deleted Instagram post. “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time. Blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag a basket and not because he’s a hot Jan Ames Beard award-winning chef who can still pull some hot tail. Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever (sic).”
At the time of their split, a source close to the couple mentioned, “There’s nothing ugly. It’s a cohesive split. They’ve just been finalizing a few things.”
The former couple, who married in February 2018, are parents to their son Gene, born in May 2019.
