Actor Ahan Shetty recently shared a significant personal moment while reflecting on his connection to the song “Ghar Kab Aaoge” from “Border 2.” He described it as a profound full-circle moment in his life.
Ahan spoke about growing up watching his father, Suniel Shetty, in the iconic patriotic song “Sandese Aate Hain.” This background made his own journey with “Ghar Kab Aaoge” even more emotional. He posted a picture on Instagram, posing with his father and the clapboard of “Border 2.”
In his heartfelt note, Ahan expressed that some experiences exceed the capacity for words and are felt more deeply than they can be described. He wrote, “They say a picture is worth a thousand words… but I don’t have the words for this. I only know what I feel. I grew up watching my father be part of Sandese Aate Hain. Today, I find myself a part of Ghar Kab Aaoge.”
Ahan added that the journey from the past to the present unfolded quietly, bringing a sense of completion he hopes to carry with him always. “Somewhere between then and now, life quietly came full circle,” he noted.
He concluded with, “This isn’t about a song or a project, it’s about time, love, and a quiet gratitude. I’ll carry it with me forever. A song that carries the unspoken emotions of every soldier and the silent prayers of every family waiting back home. Ghar Kab Aaoge out now! Jai hind, Jai Bharat.”
The original “Sandese Aate Hain,” featured in the 1999 war drama “Border,” was sung by Sonu Nigam and Roopkumar Rathod, with lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar. The song showcased a cast that included Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, and Jackie Shroff.
Directed by Anurag Singh, “Border 2” features a powerful ensemble cast, including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in collaboration with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films.
“Border 2,” backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, is scheduled to release in theatres on January 23, 2026.
