Actor Jai Backs Vijay: Eagerly Awaits Release of ‘Jana Nayagan’ as His Pongal Celebration!

Actor Jai has shown his support for fellow actor Vijay, expressing his eagerness for the release of Vijay’s film “Jana Nayagan.” Jai likens the film’s release day to the festival day of Pongal.

In a heartfelt post on his X timeline, Jai shared in Tamil: “There are obstacles that are always piling up to stop you. Breaking them and coming through is not something new for you — it is just your normal way (of functioning). Like everyone else, as a fan, as a younger brother, I’m waiting as Jana Nayagan’s release day is Pongal anna… @actorvijay #JanaNayagan #PongalPostponed.”

Jai joins other Tamil stars in supporting Vijay, as the release of “Jana Nayagan” has been postponed due to the film not receiving clearance from the Censor Board.

Before Jai, actor Simbu also offered words of encouragement, stating that Vijay has always overcome setbacks and that he has faced greater challenges. Simbu wrote: “Dear @actorvijay anna, Setbacks have never stopped you. You’ve crossed bigger storms than this. This too shall pass; real Thiruvizha begins on the day #Jananayagan releases.”

Recently, the makers of “Jana Nayagan” announced the postponement of the film late on Wednesday night. KVN Productions revealed their decision not to release the film as initially scheduled on January 9. In a statement, they said, “It is with a heavy heart that we share this update with our valued stakeholders and audiences. The release of ‘Jana Nayagan’ has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control.”

The production house further expressed their understanding of the audience’s anticipation and the emotions surrounding the film. They assured fans that the new release date would be announced soon, and they requested patience and continued support: “Your unwavering support is our greatest strength and means everything to the entire Jana Nayagan team.”

Alongside Simbu and Jai, actor Ravi Mohan also expressed solidarity with Vijay. Ravi stated: “Heartbroken @actorvijay Anna… As a brother, I’m standing with you as one among the millions of brothers beside you. You don’t need a date. You are the opening. Whenever that date is… Pongal only starts then. #istandwithvijayanna.”
