Actor Atharvaa MuraliCalls ‘Parasakthi’ a Historic Film Ahead of Its Global Release on January 10

Actor Atharvaa Murali, in a pivotal role in director Sudha Kongara’s upcoming period film ‘Parasakthi’, describes the project as a significant piece of history. He believes this film will be a special milestone for everyone involved.

During a recent interaction, Atharvaa shared some cherished moments from the making of ‘Parasakthi’, which is set for a worldwide theatrical release on January 10. He expressed gratitude towards Aakash Bhaskaran, who transitioned from director to producer for this project. “Aakash narrated the concept of ‘Parasakthi’ along with my characterisation. I am profoundly grateful to him for entrusting this project to me,” Atharvaa stated.

Atharvaa has high praise for his co-stars. He remarked, “Sreeleela shall be hailed as an unparalleled performer after this film. She is one of the finest dancers in the Indian industry.”

He also spoke fondly of actor Ravi Mohan, admitting that the star of ‘Santhosh Subramaniam’ has long been an inspiration for him. “I still recall watching his dance in ‘Santhosh Subramaniam’ with my family—a particular sequence where he dances alone in the rain filled us all with joy. My mother said that engaging in joyful pursuits spreads happiness to those around you. From that moment, I embraced the ideal of cultivating personal joy while sharing it with others,” he recounted.

On collaborating with director Sudha Kongara, Atharvaa shared, “I have known Sudha ma’am for many years. Upon meeting her for this film, she insisted I stop calling her ‘ma’am’. She is a creator of cult masterpieces.”

He reserved his warmest words for Sivakarthikeyan, saying, “Sivakarthikeyan is now my brother both onscreen and off. I have always admired his career growth; every step he takes is meticulously calculated. Few successes feel as intimately personal as his, and SK’s achievements bring me unalloyed joy. ‘Parasakthi’ is a piece of history, reflecting the student movements that shaped our state. It promises to be a special and indelible film for all of us.”

For those unaware, ‘Parasakthi’ is produced by Aakash Bhaskaran of Dawn Pictures and directed by Sudha Kongara. The film features actors Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa Murali, and Sreeleela in leading roles. The music for the film has been scored by GV Prakash, and it is slated to hit screens worldwide on January 10.
