A Unique Musical Journey

Additionally, this film marks Rahman’s much-anticipated acting debut, where he will portray a fictional character—an “angry young film director”—adding a fascinating meta-layer to the story.
Director Manoj N S’s Insights
Speaking about the experience, director Manoj NS shared, “Shooting the song ‘Mayile’ with Prabhudeva sir and A. R. Rahman sir was a wonderful journey. The song has turned out beautifully and will surely be a treat for movie lovers in theatres. Prabhudeva sir has delivered one of his best dance performances in this piece, and I extend my gratitude to choreographer Sekhar Master for making it truly exceptional.”
He continued, “A. R. Rahman sir is featured throughout the song, infusing a charming presence and unique vibe. After the song, I offered him an extended role, which he graciously accepted. This is going to be a surprise for audiences, and directing A. R. Rahman sir in his first-ever movie scene was a pleasure. The entire set was filled with joy seeing ARR Sir embrace his role as an actor. It will certainly be unexpected.”
Prabhudeva’s Multifaceted Role
Adding to the film’s allure is Prabhudeva, known for his influential contributions to Indian cinema as a performer, choreographer, and filmmaker. He will play ‘Babootty,’ a young film choreographer. His role is set to blend performance and humor, making it one of the most intriguing characters in the film.
Yogi Babu’s Surprise Roles
Yogi Babu, who was previously announced in dual roles as ‘Kavarimaan Narayanan’ and ‘Aattukkaal Azhagu Rasa,’ adds yet another surprise with a third character named ‘Dubai Mathew,’ further enhancing the film’s quirky and experimental vibe. “There is a surprise about Yogi Babu sir’s role that we will reveal during the audio launch,” Manoj NS expressed with enthusiasm.
A Star-Studded Ensemble Cast
The film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Aju Varghese as ‘Lord Djokovic,’ Arjun Ashokan as ‘Luna,’ Satz as ‘Jasmine,’ Sushmitha as ‘Silk,’ Nishma as ‘Nagma,’ Swaminathan as ‘Periya Pannai,’ Redin Kingsley as ‘Kannu Kutty,’ Rajendran as ‘Mallikarjun,’ Deepa Akka as ‘Karpoorazhagi,’ Santhosh Jacob as ‘Thavasi,’ and Ramkumar as ‘Raj Babbar.’ “We are fortunate to have such talented actors in ‘Moonwalk.’ I hope audiences enjoy watching them in theatres,” added Manoj NS.
