ZEE5 POSHAM PA RECEIVES THE PRESTIGIOUS FEMALE FILMMAKERS FESTIVAL BERLIN AWARD
Posham Pa has managed to bag the Female Filmmakers Festival Berlin 2020 Award. The Suman Mukhopadhyay creation is an epic psychological thriller, starring Mahie Gill, Sayani Gupta, Ragini Khanna as the protagonist.
ZEE5 on their official social media handles announced the huge achievement by sharing the poster of the film and captioning it as” Stoked about #PoshamPa, a ZEE5 Original, winning at the Female Filmmakers Festival Berlin 2020! You all know where to find it. #TheBondOfBlood”
The film is inspired by true events that portray the mass murder of 15 children.
The film Posham Pa narrates how Prajakta Deshpande and her two daughters Sikha Deshpande and Regha Sathe, kidnapped more the 40 children and killed 15 out of them. The whole mass murder was carried out by the mother-daughters between 1995-1999.
The story further shows how the mother ropes her two daughters into a life of crime. In the real scenario, the two daughters received the death penalty in 2014 while the mother died in 1997 serving her punishment in prison. The movie was release on the platform of Zee5 on 21st August,2019.
The spine-chilling movie PoshamPa received a lot of praise from the critics as well as from the audience. Now that the film has received the Female Filmmakers Festival Berlin 2020, it’s drawing even more eyeballs to it. On one side, Mahi Gills received the best performance while on the other side, director Suman Mukhopadhyay bagged the Kalifilm Award.
