Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai became emotional during a special screening of Dharmendra’s latest release, “Ikkis,” after witnessing the film’s overwhelming response.

Ghai expressed his happiness about the movie being well-received and praised the performances of the core cast, which includes Jaideep Ahlawat and Agastya Nanda. He took to Instagram to congratulate the Deol family and the filmmakers of “Ikkis,” saying, “My heart goes for DHARAM pa ji last film IKKIS which got a warming applause YESTERDAY AT ITS PREMIER in Mumbai.”
He added, “I’m so glad that everyone praised the movie’s emotional drama and performances. I must watch this. On Tuesday, actress Ameesha Patel also expressed her gratitude to Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol for organizing a special screening of “Ikkis.” She described the film as “sweet and endearing,” emphasizing how Dharmendra’s charming innocence made it a heartwarming watch.

Memorable Moments
It’s important to note that Dharmendra passed away on the same day the makers released his character poster for the film. “Ikkis,” which is based on the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee during the 1971 war, features Dharmendra in the role of Arun’s father.
The filmmakers also shared an emotional poem penned by Dharmendra titled “Aj bhi ji karda hai, pind apne nu jaanwa,” reflecting his longing and nostalgia for his beloved village.
