Singer-actress Lady Gaga has been busy creating new music while on her ‘Mayhem Ball Tour’.
The Grammy winner recently released two albums in quick succession: the “Harlequin” soundtrack LP in September 2024 and “Mayhem” in March 2025. Inspired by the energy of her fans each night, she has felt motivated to write more music.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, she expressed, “I’ve been making a lot of music, and it’s kind of the best making music when you get to see your fans every night because you’re energetically just right where you need to be.”
Adding to the buzz, The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, stirred speculation about a potential collaboration with Lady Gaga after posting an old photograph of her from the “The Fame” era on his Instagram Story. When Lowe showed her the post, she mentioned, “I love Abel! It’s all I can say.”
Reflecting on the 2008 photoshoot, she stated, “In that photo, I look so immersed, completely in that moment. I remembered how I artistically directed every photo and every moment that I wanted my fans to see. It was really sweet that he posted that.”
The ‘Timeless’ hitmaker shared the snap of Lady Gaga standing in front of a black Lexus with the number plate “Lady Gaga.” The post had no caption, leaving fans to speculate. About a year ago, there were rumors that The Weeknd would be featured on “Mayhem,” but his contribution did not appear when the album was released in March.
