Actress Shamita Shetty is reflecting on her beloved “angle,” her father, on what would have been his 85th birthday.
Sharing her emotions on Instagram, the ‘Mohabbatein’ star posted several throwback photos with her dad. In her heartfelt message, she wrote, “Happy Birthday my angel my Daddy (red heart, hug and ribbon emojis) Miss u (red heart emoji) (sic).”
The main photo featured Shamita beaming as she posed beside her father, accompanied by several images of her and her elder sister, Shilpa Shetty, with him. The post also included some nostalgic pictures of their parents.
In a touching tribute, Shilpa remembered their late father with a social media post. She shared sweet memories along with a heartfelt message that read, “Cheers to 85, Dad! I hope you are enjoying your single malt up there…(sic).”
Their father passed away on October 11, 2016, at their home in Versova after suffering a cardiac arrest.
On this poignant occasion, Shamita commemorated the 9th anniversary of his passing by sharing a photo of them together, stating, ” (red heart emoji)” love you Daddy (red heart emoji).”
Shilpa also expressed her love for her father through a nostalgic post, featuring a childhood picture of herself sitting on his lap. She wrote, “Miss your smile .. Miss YOU Daddy (red heart emoji) 9 years today (folded hands emoji) (sic).”
