PRIYANKA CHOPRA WANTS TO SEE MORE OF BROWN PEOPLE IN HOLLYWOOD

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has created a stir in the Hollywood industry through her recent film ‘Evil Eye’ which has a complete South Asian star cast. The actress who has co-produced this film with Amazon and Blumhouse highlighted that she used this opportunity to make the brown actors more visible in the west.

Recently in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said, “My quest in life is to influx Hollywood with brown people, because we don’t see enough of us.” Priyanka further added, “And to be able to do an all South Asian cast in a movie with – who are both powerhouses – was a dream come true for me.” Priyanka Chopra further expressed how the movie ‘Evil Eye’ helped her to achieve two of her personal goals- One is to add a more diverse cast to the Hollywood movie industry, and the second is to showcase the personal bond that she shares with her mother.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas did not get anything on a plate, be it the entry in Bollywood or Hollywood, the actress achieved everything only through hard work and dedication. She served the Bollywood industry with several blockbuster movies and then stepped towards the west. Rather than moving into Hollywood through her strength(acting), she decided to try her luck in singing. “I want to demand leading parts for people who are like me. I want to have girls that look like me… start to be on the poster of a movie,” she continued. “It’s my greatest joy and honor to be able to create opportunities where I didn’t have them.”
