Veteran legend Zeenat Aman recently shared a delightful post reflecting on how she has reached a stage in life where her children have taken on the role of parenting her.

In her social media update, the Dostana actress expressed how her kids have nudged her to “learn to take proper selfies” and become more independent in navigating social media.

“Is anyone else at that age where their children have started parenting them?” she questioned. Zeenat mentioned receiving a pointed lecture about “learning to take proper selfies and candid pictures because you’re an Instagram personality, and stop depending on me for this, Ma.”

The actress candidly discussed her struggle with her children’s ‘attitude’. “I was quite miffed by the attitude, and even more so when the kids proceeded to reject the pictures I then did take over the course of the following week!”

Highlighting her experience, she shared that the rejected pictures had to be deleted. “Anyway, those shots have been relegated to digital heaven, but here are three snaps that I requested, received, and uploaded without their help: 1. The upcoming film features Agastya Nanda as Arun Khetarpal, the heroic soldier who was martyred at 21 during the 1971 Battle of Basantar in the Indo-Pak war. “Ikkis” also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikander Kher.

Originally slated for a December 2025 release, “Ikkis” will now hit theatres on January 1, 2026.

The late veteran superstar Dilip Kumar, in an old interview with Lehren TV, revealed how he introduced his wife, Saira Banu, to his legendary co-star Madhubala decades ago.

Talking about meeting Saira Banu for the first time, Dilip Kumar shared, “My first impression of Saira ji was that she was very young. Not many know that Dilip Kumar and Madhubala reportedly dated for a few years before parting ways due to Dilip’s personal reasons with her and her father.

Dilip and Saira married in 1966 when she was just 22 years old, while Dilip Kumar was 44, marking a notable age gap of 22 years.

For those unfamiliar, the legendary Dilip Kumar passed away on July 7, 2021, at the age of 98 after a prolonged illness. He left behind a cinematic legacy spanning more than six decades and is still celebrated for his iconic performances in films like Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Naya Daur, Ram Aur Shyam, Kranti, and many others.

Director Anurag Kashyap has shared that he is accustomed to the setbacks of his films.

During the teaser launch event of “Dacoit,” where he stars alongside Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur as the fearless cop Swamy, Kashyap was asked about the box office performance of his latest directorial venture, “Nishaanchi.”

A question posed to him highlighted his various roles this year—as a producer, presenter, and actor. The question noted that “Nishaanchi” was a passion project for him, suggesting it might gain a cult following over time much like his previous works. However, he was asked if he felt disappointed with the film’s box office reception.

Kashyap humorously responded, “No, no, I’m used to it,” which drew laughter from the audience.

He elaborated, “I’m used to it because, yeah, I probably expected a little bit more and thought maybe the audience and I are cinema men. But then I realized the very second day.”

The maker of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ further explained, “I was used to it, then we decided to put that one film, both parts together, on OTT. Because it was a film produced by Amazon, so it was already seen. So I’m happy with OTT.”

Kashyap also shared that “Nishaanchi” was initially titled “Babloo Nishaanchi.” He discussed how the title evolved, stating, “Initially, the title was Babloo Nishaanchi, Rangilee Rinku, and Dabloo — everyone said it was too long. The story of how Nishaanchi was coined and the film was finally named.”

For those unfamiliar, Babloo and Dabloo are characters played by Aaishvary Thackeray, who portray twin brothers in the film, while Rinku is the character of Vedika Pinto.

Actor Sparsh Shrivastava believes the success of his series ‘Jamtara’ marked a significant turning point in his career. It brought him recognition, trust, and a boosted sense of confidence from the industry.

Reflecting on his journey, Sparsh expressed that the transformation he experienced after the series felt both organic and well-deserved. He praised filmmaker Kiran Rao, describing her as “a gem” and commended her ability to trust and empower actors.

Discussing how his life changed after ‘Jamtara’ and ‘Laapataa Ladies’, Sparsh remarked: “Speaking of wonderful directors, I’ve often talked about Kiran Rao from ‘Laapata Ladies,’ she’s a gem. Again, a director who trusts and empowers actors.”

He continued, “After ‘Jamtara’, things shifted for me. The recognition and trust the industry placed in me… it was a breakthrough. And honestly, it’s because of my work. Each project adds a beautiful layer to what I do, and I feel so, so grateful whenever a new one comes my way.”

‘Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega’ is a crime drama directed by Soumendra Padhi. The narrative focuses on social engineering operations in the Jamtara district of Jharkhand, centering on a group of small-town young men who run a successful phishing racket until they encounter a corrupt politician seeking a share of their business. Ultimately, a newly appointed police superintendent decides to dismantle their entire illicit operation.

In addition, ‘Laapataa Ladies’, which features Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan, tells the story of two young newly-wed brides who are mistakenly exchanged during a train ride to their husbands’ homes.

The film was screened at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival and was chosen as the Indian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 97th Academy Awards, although it did not receive a nomination.
