Sunita Ahuja has openly supported actress Deepika Padukone’s call for implementing 8-hour work shifts for actors.

In her latest vlog, Sunita emphasized the significance of balancing professional commitments with family life. During a recent Q&A session with fans, one individual inquired about Deepika Padukone’s assertion that a mother’s schedule should be respected on set and whether producers should take this into account when planning shoots.

Responding thoughtfully, Sunita highlighted the need to prioritize children. She expressed, “What Deepika has said, I think she is right. Because, look, work is also important. But first of all, I have to take care of my kids. So, I think what Deepika has said is right. After shooting for 8 hours, it is important to give time to your kids. You should take care of your kids in front of your own eyes.”

She further added, “Because I have never given my kids to a servant. And Deepika must have said this because she is a good mother. Producers should think.”

The conversation around 8-hour work shifts for actors gained momentum after reports about Deepika Padukone’s departure from the film “Spirit.” Initially cast opposite Prabhas, she reportedly exited the project due to disagreements over specific conditions, including profit-sharing, adherence to an eight-hour workday, and other contractual terms that didn’t meet filmmakers’ expectations.

Following her exit, Triptii Dimri was cast as the new lead. Additionally, Deepika was removed from Nag Ashwin’s sequel “Kalki 2898 AD.” Vyjayanthi Movies confirmed this news with a statement posted on X, saying, “This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership.”

The note concluded, “And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future works.”

The shooting of director Nani’s upcoming emotional action entertainer ‘Delivery Boy’, featuring Leo Sivakumar and Brigida in lead roles, has been completed, as announced by the makers.

Sources close to the unit reveal that the film was shot entirely in Chennai and Coimbatore within a span of just 42 days. The publicists from Asasi Creations took to their X timeline to share the news: “#DeliveryBoy shoot wrapped up. Coming to theatres soon. Director Nani, who previously served as an assistant director to well-known filmmaker Suseenthiran, described the film’s premise. “If I have to briefly give you an idea of what the film is all about, it is about the efforts made by a hardworking delivery boy looking to save his mother. The hero of the story comes from a lower middle-class family, and the narrative revolves around his struggles to rescue his mother. It will be a gripping story that will keep audiences hooked to the screen from beginning to end.”

With the shooting now wrapped up, the post-production work is progressing rapidly. “We have now started dubbing for the film. We intend to release it sometime in March next year,” Nani mentioned.

In addition to Leo Sivakumar and Brigida, the film will feature a talented cast of supporting artists, including Radikaa Sarathkumar, Dushyanth, Kaali Venkat, and Bose Venkat among others.

‘Delivery Boy’ boasts a strong technical team. Produced by Amutha Leoni under the banner Asasi Creations, the film features music by Sundaramoorthy and cinematography by Prasanna Kumar. The dialogues are penned by Nanda Mani Vasagam, and the editing is handled by Vasanth. Stunts have been choreographed by Phoenix Prabhu, while art direction is by Suresh Kalyani.
