Star Plus serial Imli starring Sumbul Taukir and Gashmeer Mahajani will be aired shortly.
Star Plus has been one of the most popular channels in the Indian television market, with some of its iconic shows like “Ye rishta kya kehlata hai”, “Ye hai mohabbatein”, “Sath nibhana sathiya” etc ruling the TRPs and making their way to the hearts of viewers. This time, Star Plus is back with a new show “Imli” featuring Chandragupta Maurya fame Sumbul Taukir and Marathi actor Gashmeer Mahajani in lead roles. The serial is produced by The house of four lions, who have given back to back hit serials for the channel.
Star released the promo of the show recently in which we saw Gashmeer as an urban resident who visits a village and is taken aback by Sumbul’s intelligence. Sumbul is saying in the promo, “Gaao se hain, Gawaar nahi” ( I am a villager, but not illiterate) . From the promo, it seems that the show revolves around the divide that has been created around rural population and urban population in India. Apart from the leads, Chandresh Singh, who is famous for shows like “Ye un dino ki baat hai” and Jyoti Gauba who is a well known television face, are also starring in the serial.
