Shabana Azmi Talks About The Positives Of Colour-Blind Casting In Upcoming Series ‘Halo’
New Delhi: Veteran actress Shabana Azmi paved the way for Indian actors to work in international projects. However, it took him a long time to get the ‘colour blind casting’, to be exact 34 years after his first stint on the global stage.
The actress, who will soon be seen in the science-fiction series ‘Halo’, which premieres on Voot Select, recently shared with IANS about her association with the project, her character in the series and a new genre of sci-fi. talked about working. That enriched the artist.

She continues, “The conversation has been going on for a long time and I remember the first time I saw a Peter Brooks play in New York in which an African American played the brother of a Chinese boy. It took so long . Even African Americans operate without borders of color.”
Expressing his happiness over the changing paradigm, he added, “I am very happy that they are doing so now and with ‘Hello’ we have a truly international cast, we have Korea, Canada, USA, India and every The place has fellow actors. The show is a microcosm of the world and no one was asked to change their appearance, they were accepted as they are.”
Sharing how the show helped enrich her creative impulses, she says, “It’s always interesting to do something that’s completely out of your realm. At the point where I am in life, it’s It’s too easy to say I’ve done everything. So what’s new and this is as new as it can get for me.”
“So it was a challenge but it was also something that gave me an adrenaline rush. It was difficult but suddenly, adrenaline took over and I gave my all. That’s what’s always exciting about any kind of creative work”, she concluded.
