‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ fame actor Omkar Kapoor recently shared his experiences of working with legendary stars Salman Khan, Govinda, and Sridevi during his early years as a child artist.
Reflecting on his journey, he provided insights into the significant moments that shaped his career in the film industry. In an exclusive interview, Omkar recounted his experiences working alongside these iconic stars. When asked if acting felt like a greater responsibility while working with such legends, he expressed, “I think, I was fortunate to work with such legends at such a young age, where people wait and struggle for so many years.”
He added, “At that time, I was very young, and I don’t think I was using any method or process in that. I was just a kid having fun on set, doing whatever the director wanted. Maybe my inherent mischief and naughtiness resonated, and people appreciated that. So, I never felt fear or responsibility around them. In fact, all the actors I worked with were very mature and seasoned, and they taught me a lot. I got the chance to learn from them.”
Omkar further elaborated, “I used to be inspired by them a lot. Even today, when I see their work, I feel inspired.”
He recalled a memorable experience from the sets of ‘Judaai’, saying, “I remember shooting at the Mumbai airport for the film’s climax scene, where Anil sir, Sridevi ma’am, and Urmila ji were all present. During a lunch break, I was mesmerized by the planes and got really excited, so I ran away from the set.”
“I managed to sneak onto an aircraft, and the shooting was halted for two hours while they searched for me. They eventually found me and brought me back through security. When the shoot resumed, I was scared of what I had done, but everyone forgave me, considering it part of my childhood, and we continued shooting.”
Omkar Kapoor began his journey as a child artist in Bollywood, featuring in films like “Judwaa,” “Hero No. 1,” and “Judaai.” He later made his Bollywood debut as a parallel lead actor in “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2.”
