Grammy winner Miley Cyrus has debunked the notion that she’s always self-assured and certain about her life choices. She expressed that her mind can change “drastically” at any moment.

“I think maybe it is more of a powerful word than we give it credit for. Because when you block something with a yes or a no, then you don’t invite in something that could be a maybe. I think people associate me with being a very definitive person,” Cyrus shared in an interview with Vogue.

She further elaborated, “But actually, in regard to spirituality, I am kind of specifically non-specific in everything. At any moment, anyone or anything could change my mind drastically.”

Finding Joy in Household Tasks

The “Flowers” hitmaker loves to escape the pressures of fame by engaging in household chores. “I am joyful when I’m organising and cleaning – it never feels like a task to me. Everything I do in my life is a little bit intense, but it has to be holistic. And that’s why my eras, they’re not a costume, they’re actually like a metamorphosis or a true evolution for me personally,” she said.

Cyrus even mentioned that she has gained the nickname “Queen of Pristine” because she believes that every corner, every drawer, every friendship, and every family dynamic deserves an upgrade through cleaning.

On the 102nd birth anniversary of the evergreen legend Dev Anand, veteran actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha fondly remembered the iconic star and expressed heartfelt gratitude and admiration.

Shatrughan, father of Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, took to X (formerly Twitter) to recall one of Dev Anand’s inspiring videos, labeling it “thought-provoking” while praising the filmmaker’s timeless charm. He shared a nostalgic glimpse from their 1971 film “Gambler,” which revolves around a gambler named Raja who rises in the gambling world but faces moral dilemmas after discovering a large sum of money.

Shatrughan posted on X: “Remembering with love & fondness an extremely thought-provoking video by one of the most stylish & ever-young filmmakers #DevAnand on his birthday. ‘Pearls of Wisdom’ as he speaks of changes then, now and in the times to come.”

Dev Anand is considered one of the greatest and most successful actors in Indian cinema, with a career spanning over six decades and more than 100 films to his credit. He made his debut in 1946 with a lead role in Prabhat Films’s Hum Ek Hain, a film focused on Hindu-Muslim unity.

His first commercial breakthrough arrived with the 1948 film Ziddi, but it was the 1951 crime thriller Baazi that catapulted him to fame, being regarded as a precursor to the “Bombay Noir” trend in Hindi cinema during the 1950s.

From the 1950s to the 1970s, Dev Anand delivered several hits, including Jaal, Taxi Driver, Insaniyat, C.I.D., Paying Guest, Kala Pani, Kala Bazar, Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai, Hum Dono, Asli-Naqli, Tere Ghar Ke Samne, Guide, Jewel Thief, Johny Mera Naam, and Hare Rama Hare Krishna.

In the 1970s and 1980s, films such as Amir Garib, Warrant, Jaaneman, Darling Darling, Des Pardes, Swami Dada, and Lashkar kept him relevant amidst the rise of other stars.

Dev Anand’s most acclaimed works include Munimji, Funtoosh, Baarish, Nau Do Gyarah, Solva Saal, Teen Devian, Prem Pujari, Tere Mere Sapne, and Heera Panna. His journey came to a close with the 2011 film Chargesheet, which he also directed.

Dev Anand passed away in his hotel room in London at the age of 88 on December 3, 2011, due to cardiac arrest. His death occurred just two months after the release of his final film, Chargesheet, which he directed and produced.

Punjabi global superstar Diljit Dosanjh has further solidified his international fame, receiving a nomination at the prestigious International Emmy Awards.

Bollywood singer and music composer Zubeen Garg’s sudden demise has left the nation in shock, particularly in his home state of Assam, where he was deeply revered by his fans.

Zubeen, who tragically passed away on September 19 following a scuba diving accident in Singapore, was 52 years old.

Aamir Khan Productions, the official production house of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, expressed their condolences on September 25. Hollywood star Colin Farrell is shedding light on the journey he undertook to portray gambling addict Lord Doyle in his upcoming film.

The actor is attending the San Sebastián Film Festival with Edward Berger’s Ballad of a Small Player. At the film’s press conference, he discussed the fast-paced thriller, stating, “It’s pretty well-chronicled now my history with addiction, but I don’t think you have to be an addict to play an addict. I found (Doyle’s) internal push and pull to be a lovely place to start.”

Farrell added, “He is somebody who doesn’t believe in his own worth, who is very self-centered to the point of being despicable. I still don’t have answers to anything in the script; I just have the experience of being in front of the camera with my fellow actors. As far as preparations go, I suppose I have some form of OCD that is given good life in regard to acting because you get to obsess about the characters and maybe imagine their history, their own personal kind of origin story.”

According to Variety, Ballad of a Small Player is featured in the official selection at the Basque festival, just a year after Berger’s Conclave premiered at the same event. The film, adapted from Lawrence Osborne’s novel, follows Lord Doyle as he navigates the Eastern gambling hub of Macau, where his past and debts loom large. Close to his breaking point, Doyle encounters a kindred spirit who might just hold the key to his salvation.

Reflecting on the practicalities of playing a gambler, Farrell shared his experience of spending time in Macau’s sprawling casinos. He expressed gratitude for not having faced an addiction to gambling.

“Gambling is one affliction that never really came near me. I’m glad to say I only damaged my body and my brain, not my bank account,” he noted.
